This movie was well done. Will Smith's performance was excellent, as was Rosario Dawson's, but the story was difficult to watch, although thought provoking. I found that I had figured out the story about half way through which made the remaining movie a bit boring. Some things about it were a bit far fetched. Again, well acted and shot, but the story was troubling and a bit weak.

Will Smith just keeps getting better and better as he's still makes audiences go crazy about him. This movie will captivate grown-ups alike. The first time I saw it, I really like it. I laughed and cried at the end of the movie. But this one I recommend that you take your loved ones out on a date to see that movie and you might learn something from it.

Would have given this dark and twisted movie just one star if not for the amazing acting by Will Smith. He once again proves that he is in the upper echelon of American actors. Rosario Dawson is amazing as well. The problem for me is the story itself. The story is dark, depressing and twisted. If you leave this movie feeling that the main character has made some kind of noble sacrifice then the movie has toyed with your mind and spirit and "messed you up a bit". Suicide for any reason is ultimately the most selfish thing a person can do and the act itself is akin to "spitting on God". While the acting here is top-notch it is not worth the potential confusion and propaganda. This is not a Christmas movie. It is a horror movie.

It was a good story, but took a long trime to develope. For me the movie was very predictable. slow at times. Enjoyed Will Smith's acting. But I found His performance in Legend more engaging, even though he was the only charactor for most of that movie. I was uncomfortable in my seat, and annoyed by those around me, in a small crowd. When i am entertained I don't notice others in the theatre.

I really didn't know what to expect from this movie. I was pleasantly surprised. The only negative for me was, I felt lost until about the middle of the movie. Some people find this exciting and mysterious. I find it annoying. However, it really needed to be that way for the movie to work. So in the end, all was forgiven and I really enjoyed it. This movie was truly amazing. I don't remember the last time I was still thinking about the movie the next day. Be prepared for an emotional ride. I watched this movie because I was intrigued by the mystery of it. Will Smith as usual produces a well thought out performance but I continue waiting for Will to really let himself go in film, he is still learning. I thought the movie was an interesting premise with Will giving his lady love his "heart". The plot was a little loose especially with how Will chose his beneficiaries. I especially liked the scene with the older Latina, she stole that scene. Some of it was implausible, especially all the jellyfish stuff but overall a good movie. Ladies, bring tissue, you'll need it.

Will Smith delivered an oscar nominating performance in this film and his co-star Rosario Dawson was excellent as well. I had not seen these two together since Men in Black II, but it was nice to see the chemistry was still there. This became a painful story as as the film progressed as we saw the master plan for his life. My only kick is it took too long to get the whole reason for his scarifice, I wish we would have got that sooner. It was also a good warning about blackberry and texting while driving.

I am at an age in my life where I can not go see ANY movies with a start time of later than 8:00 pm, because if I do, I am fast asleep about midway through. Well, I went to see a 10:00 pm showing of Seven Pounds and I never even had an "exaggerated" blink. This moving caught my attention from the very beginning and it never lost it. Even though it is not an action packed movie, it still moves and, in my opinion, doesn't dissappoint. With all the questions and uncertainty of why Will Smith's character is acting the way he does, it ALL ties together at the end. You will not be let down. GO SEE IT!!

My wife, our son and me saw Seven Pounds on Saturday and really enjoyed it. It was rather difficult to figure out exactly where it was going, but everything became very clear near the end.
I would highly recommend this movie!
