The movie was good but i felt that some of the charecters could have been in the movie more. Overall not knowing much about the xmen outside of the movies i thought the story went well with the first three movies. I would recomend this movie if you want to see a good action movie.

The movie had action, suspense, romance, and history behind how Logan became Wolverine. I was not impress with the actor who played Gambit. In the comics Gambit has a French accent and his personality is a charmer. I feel that the actor did not play Gambit very well. Liev Schreiber as Sabertooth was Great! very well played. Overall it was alright but I was more impress with X-Men and X-2

Definitely worth seeing for Hugh Jackman alone, as he looks an acts so much like comic character. Story good for those who are not familiar with X Men history. Liev Schreiber is extremely successful in protraying Victor. He will give you goosebumps. Warning for parents, I feel this movie is a "hard" PG-13 for violence. As with all films, stay for the credits.

I think the biggest problem was in rushing to tell a backstory and keeping the action going. And still there were a few scenes that would have been good to leave out (such as the boxing match with Blob) and add in some deeper emotional weight. I liked it about as much as X-Men 3 but X2 was several notches ahead of this.

You did not have to see any of the other X-men movies to see this one. The characters are great but the story line is just alright. Though the film explains how Wolverine came to be, it leaves you kind of saying "that's it"?, I expected more. Gambit rocks and Sabertooth is all sorts of sadistic scary. Be advised it may be a little much for young chidren since there is a lot of death and violence. I wouldn't put this film in the ranks of Iron Man or even the Dark Knight but overall it was a good movie. Save yourself the full ticket price though. I feel it's only worthy of discount admission.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!! The animation, effects, & cinematography were invigoratingly spectacular. The last fight scene literally had my jaw drop! I expected this movie to be good, but it surpassed my expectations. When I saw Will.I.Am's name run through the beginning credits I was a little apprehensive since most musicians "try" to be actors & aren't good-but WOW he was impressively GOOD! Definitely will see it again in the theater. Hugh was absolutely phenomenal for this role!!
P.S. Don't forget to stay past the credits at the end-there's an extra scene!

The movie was overall very good. It was the darkest of the the X-men movies but not as dark as Dark Night. So not really a younger kids movie. It seemed to follow the comic book series pretty well but did not get into Wolverine's history in Japan at all. I liked it and felt it gave a good portrayal of some of the history of Wolverine. Definitely worth seeing.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a must see. After seeing the precludes of this movie it is awesome to see Wolverines transformation because the previous movies only eludes to the transformation. Also, this movie sheds light on why Wolverine is a loner. I really enjoyed the movie.

I think that this movie had a little of everything, action, intrigue, romance. Some of my questions were answered, but not all, but I believe that will be in future movies., if there are any. I feel Hugh Jackman is a very good Wolverine, though I do not know the comic book character aside from his clothing. He makes the character come to life and brings to the audience his humanness. Also looking at his well defined body was a huge plus. I suggest to stay for all of the credits.

This movie was a terrible disappointment. A great bunch of actors with bad dialog and direction. The plot of the movie is predictable and cheesy. The first half especially where they tried unsuccessfully to develop the characters before the action started. The action sequences just felt flat and unimaginative, especially in light of the bar raised by recent comic book movies.There were a lot of really bad special effects intertwined with good ones which had the affect of making the good effects look worse. It's a rental for sure.

Great special effects, mediocre acting, a plot full of holes. Even fantasy requires some degree of logical consistency. Completely lacking here (e.g. the plot would have us believe that Wolverine abandoned his lady's dead body). Watched first installment of X-men when I returned home. No comparison. You get plenty of action, comedy (lots more than expected), a bit of drama, and you get to see a side of Hugh Jackman that you've never seen before ;) I've been a fan since I was a kid (of the cartoon, not the comic) and I definitely learned some things about Wolverine that I didn't know before. My only complaint is the fight scenes between him and Victor/Sabretooth got a little redundant

I'm an enormous comic book movie fan and was slightly disappointed in this movie. While I completely appreciated the origins storyline, I thought that there were many cheesy action moments that left me feeling disappointed- even down to the last 2 clips after the movie is over. I'm a big X Men movie fan and was really looking forward to this film. It is truly GODAWFUL and never should have been made... Any episodes of "Heroes" makes more sense and that show is idiotic. Why did they not call Liev's character SABRE TOOTH by name? How did he have $17 at the poker table when he was previously nude? Etc.
Taylor Kitsch as GAMBIT was hot, they don't call him GAMBIT in the movie of course. Legal issues? That's nitpicking but the script is full of holes. Hugh throws himself into the role 100% but sometimes that isn't good enough.

I have been an X-Men fan since the early 80s. First I have to say that no movie can ever live up to the comic exactly. Having said that, once I got passed that I can honestly say this movie ROCKS!!!.For the true fan there are going to be a number of MAJOR inconsistencies with the comic book story line. However, it did stay true to the movies already out and there was good continuity with the on-screen story. PLEASE NOTE: As with other Marvel movies stay until after the credits... you will not be disappointed. Also, if you think carefully about the final scene it will answer a question posed during the movie.... 'nuff said bub!

This is an action movie. It delivers on what it sets out to do. The relationships between Wolverine and Sabertooth, along with Wolverine and his love interest make the characters somewhat relateable to most people. The powers of each mutant were fascinating. The action sequences were jaw dropping. I've seen some people say the story line is predictable, but again...this is not a dramatic thriller, its not meant to make you think too hard. Overall I was thoroughly entertained and I'm glad I went!

I was a little nervous at first, because, to me, the very beginning seemed a little slow.....or generic. But, the action soon picked up and I was totally enthralled in the movie until the very end....It was action packed and interesting. I did think it was a little too violent for the younger kids, thus the PG-13 rating....so, I can't say I was surprised or not warned! But for all the marvel comics fans out there....it's a must see!

I did not grow up on X-Men so I was lost on the first films as to why things were the way they were. With this film they took the time to explain so much that I will go back and watch the others again with new eyes. The last film was so bad that I thought the franchise was dead there is much life left!

I enjoyed the movie, it was very cool, showed alot of good background info on the characters of wolverine and also his brother sabretooth.
I am also a big fan of gambit and deadpool and they had some very cool scenes in the movie and didn't dissapoint.
