Some parts were cheesy and cliche but overall the origin story was very satisfactory.

This movie was terrible! Marcus Nispel did such a great job with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and failed so miserably with this remake. The cast was terrible, the acting was worse and the predictability of the deaths was insulting. I was very disappointed and do not reccomend even renting this movie when it comes out on video. Save your money all around.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
