We loved the first transformers, and so does our son, so we went to see this one 2 times already and we love it too. It has a great mixture of funny, sad, and action. Some of the people and critics need to lighten up a little bit and go and see the movie for what it is, a giant battling robot movie. We are all a mixture of diverse people, so why should the movies have to be all one big boring personality. I loved the twins in the movie, and didnt have any problem with them. I thought they were hilarious! Maybe I should complain that Sam is the sterio typical white nerdy guy. Lighten up people and enjoy life.

Everyone who said that there was too much action is dumb. Its a movie based on giant fighting robots. Well duhh theres going to be a lot of action. first movie was great need ed more action. second movie was freakin awesome. twins were hilarious. The comedic parts was great. overall a great freakin movie. id see it again. oh wait already did!

While I realize they are marketing to the original kids who grew up playing with Transformers and are old enough for those racier scenes, I was worried about the younger kids in the audience. However, the constant motion of the movie kept the actions of the Transformers and Sam the focus, and it was excellently played.

I thought this movie was great! I've seen it twice already. More robots and action than the first Transformers which is exactly what you want. The story was interesting and Megan Fox is worth the ticket price alone. I'm interested to see where they go with the story for the next movie.

The movie was not as good as the first one, but did have great special effects. I enjoyed the older robot in the movie I thought he was funny. The twins were a great addition. I would recommend this movie because it was pretty good.

I loved how they showed more of Sam's mom and how funny she was in this movie - there were moments in the movie I was litterally Laughing Out Loud! Alot more action, and I'm hoping there will be a Transformers 3!!

Just this time around there are a lot more robots in the picture. The funny parts lightened things up but I like the direction they took with this. And yes, you don't really go to these movies for the plot but the actors carried themselves in their roles to a tee.
Not the best to bring the kids to though.
Overall, was a good continuation from the first (watched it again the night before we saw this) with how they picked it up from the last movie into this one. Great action scenes that could be considered "over the top" but thats whats to be expected from a GIANT ROBOT movie. Entertaining and had me close to the edge of my seat. DEFINITELY worth it to see in theaters.

It could have been better. Why do writers, producers and directors think that if you throw a little sexuality in the mix, that it will make a bad script better? Shia LaBeouf is a better actor than they gave him credit for and the way they developed his charactor is an insult to his ability to portray a more well founded role.

The movie was not as good as the first, but it was still pretty good. I also agree with the aformentioned statement that the desert scene was drawn out for too long; however, the film did succeed in making the cliche, uptight leader freaking awesome. Optimous Prime, I think he became more awesome than before from the getgo with his famous line in the beginning of the film. overall, this is a good film and everyone should watch it.

Good movie but went a bit overboard on trying to be funny and when did Sam's mom start cursing so much? Lots of action but I thought it was like overkill. I wanted to see more of Sam in his new life after part one. Movie could have been better, I liked part one better although there were some great moments in this movie as well.

So, amongst my friends I'm in the minority by saying that Transformers 2 was just ok. I felt that it was too chaotic visually, auditorily, and even story-wise. Don't get me wrong, the flick did have its funny moments and 'wow that was cool" moments, but for me they were few and far between. In my opinion this sequel wasn't as good as the first one, but that's just me...

Loved the movie but saw a lot of little kids in the theatre. The language was coarser than the 1st movie and the humor was adult oriented. Special effects & action were great. Not a very good script but you don't see these movies for a plot. I would see it again.

I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. Some language and a few jokes that I hope the kids don't get. But overall it was 2 1/2 hours of well paced action. The theater applauded through so very many scenes.

Overall this movie is grand on the order of special effects. They are some of the most stunning in a long time and well done thanks to the ILM team. The story is strong and a good follow up to the first movie. There is only one point where the movie gets a little hoaky and the audience reacted with some chuckle (No spoils). But then again it is based on chartoon characters and toys! Very adult oriented as well as enjoyable for kids in their teens (due to content) and up. I would recomend this movie as a summer must see.

My husband and 7 year old son went to see the movie on opening day and my son loved it! But when my husband took me to see the movie three days later I was ticked off at my husband for bringing my son to the movie because of the swear and language! I think if your child would be around 12 or old then movie would be fine but not for a 7 year old!
Adult point of view- the movie was awesome and the fight scenes were a little to drawn out but over all i was impressed!

I am tired of people brushing this off as a "summer movie" and saying it was great. It was basically a big CGI exhibit. The CGI was definitely top notch and fun to watch... for about 20 minutes. So am I led to believe that a movie can consist of just great effects and completely neglect any substance at all? I mean, Star Trek had great effects yet still had an intelligible plot. It was fun to watch and had a story to keep you interested in it.
Shia LaBeouf's performance was pretty good but no actor really had a chance to shine since every scene had about 30 seconds of human dialog and then consisted mostly of slo-mo sequences of huge robots shooting each other while doing backflips.

If I were to rate this movie on special effects alone, it would get a 5. However, it was a bit too long and there were a few iffy scenes. Overall, though, if you want an action packed movie with a few bits of humor, you can't go wrong with this one.

This movie was so great, and better than the 1st one, as that one seemed to be the life and times of Shia LaBeouf. This had a lot more transformer interaction. The only down fall was that the visual effects were so great that often times it was hard to distinguish the autobots from the decepticons- or autobots from other autobots for that matter.
