What a good super hero movie should be!

"Chronicle" was an AWESOME take on super hero movies. Well, maybe just a super power movie. Although it was shot in the "found footage" type of cinematography akin to "Cloverfield," it added to the overall experience and story telling. This was one of the best films that truly showed that thin line between good evil and how someone who attained super powers might handle them. Right and wrong, justice and corruption. And the last BIG sequence of the film was one of the best I've seen as super powers go. Switching between all the different angles from phones to security cameras was refreshing instead of the "cinematic" angles from super hero movies. Definitely going to see it again!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

BIG fan of the H&K movies. Don't see why people keep saying there was no plot to this movie. Sure, it strayed off here and there but if anything there were multiple plots that encompassed the whole movie. 3D was cool at some points and the claymation was creative. And you don't go to a H&K movie expecting to see things the whole family will enjoy. Go to see it to have a good laugh.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Anwswered some important questions in the series.

I went into this movie not expecting the 3D to be all that amazing and so I wouldn't disappoint myself... and I was right.
The best thing about this movie was the twists and answering those questions left unanswered from the first one.
Aside from that, the 3D was definitely lacking. If you can see this in regular 2D, save yourself the money because you won't miss out on anything spectacular.
Good movie overall as far as the story and pacing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Top Contenders for a Comic Book Movie

This movie was good and bad in its own ways. I first would like to point out that YES, this is an R Rated film. Yes, this is based off a graphic comic book. And yes, there is a lot of violence and an underage child swearing. But these are things that you are to expect from a comic book movie. Look at how the Dark Knight was... that movie didn't have cussing but I know a lot of parents who wouldn't let their kids into it. I just find it funny that a "movie critic" would be surprised at what was in this film. If you've seen the red band trailer online, then you would've known there would be a child swearing.
I think people who are offended by this movie need to start doing their research before they go to the theater... especially if they're going to leave a biased review. I've KNOWN about the contents of this film on the fact that the red band trailer has been out for the past 8 months or so and in it, Hit Girl does cuss. Not to mention I've followed the comic book so I knew what to expect.
This movie is definitely not one to take the kids to. But as far as a comic-to-movie adaptation goes, this film was top notch. The pacing was good, it had it's funny moments, and despite all the cursing and violence it has a good moral to the story. No, not that killing the bad guys is good. But that you have to help your fellow man. But you don't have to wear a mask to do it.
If you're gonna go watch it, PLEASE go with an open mind and the above things noted. If you're put off by anything I've said, don't go see it. But if you want to watch a very well put together comic book movie, this will be an entertaining one for you.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The transition to this film from Twilight was smooth. The action sequences and Jacob's transformation was excellent. Can't wait for the second one.

Touching and Entertaining

One of the first reviews I read about this movie was that it was "an animated version of "The Bucket List." Now, after seeing the movie, and in 3D, I think that that person didn't even see this film.
The animation was great and in 3D was even better. The emotion of the story was very entertaining and touching in so many ways. Me and my wife don't have any kids but we love Pixar's movies.
Go see this movie, in 3D if you can, and you won't be disappointed. Oh, and you'll love the beginning short film called "Partly Cloudy."
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Just this time around there are a lot more robots in the picture. The funny parts lightened things up but I like the direction they took with this. And yes, you don't really go to these movies for the plot but the actors carried themselves in their roles to a tee.
Not the best to bring the kids to though.
Overall, was a good continuation from the first (watched it again the night before we saw this) with how they picked it up from the last movie into this one. Great action scenes that could be considered "over the top" but thats whats to be expected from a GIANT ROBOT movie. Entertaining and had me close to the edge of my seat. DEFINITELY worth it to see in theaters.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The new characters are perfect!! Was very excited to see John Cho as Sulu and Simon Pegg as Scottie. Everyone did great with their roles and the movie was entertaining all the way around. Definitely want to see it again while its still in theaters.
