My boyfriend and I went to this last night. We were totally cracking up. Amy Poehler will no doubt now get a wave of star vehicles for her, and she deserves every one. It was a little predictable but then again, Tiny Fey didn't write this one. Definitely good for lots of laughs!

This movie was just okay. The trailers made it seem funnier than it actually was. There were moments where it was obvious that the writer/director thought the audience should/would laugh and left pauses before the next set of dialogue but it didn't quite work out. I expected MUCH more from these two than just an occasional chuckle.

This was a great saturday afternoon, don't think, just laugh movie. Oscar who is the character that is Tina Fey's doorman is just hilarious, he was as funny as the main cast. The Fey-Poehler team "bring it" throughout this lighter comedy treatment of what has become excessively complex topic of Love-Marriage-Children in the post-nuclear family age. Well written and edited; relatively very good family entertainment. I personally would lose some of the language, but, hey, it's not like your young teens aren't hearing them and worse at school or elsewhere. Take them with you and have your discussions afterward, as you deem appropriate.

Although this movie was pretty funny, the entire plot and just about all of the funniest moments in the movie were all divulged in movie trailers and commercials. The problem is that if you go to the movies often you have to get there before the trailers and therefore you see far too much of the movie in advance. A movie like this, which only really had a few really funny moments, is ruined by the trailers and commercials. Still, it was and hour and a half of mindless fun.

Not a laugh a minute riot, but a very funny movie that’s worth seeing just for Steve Martin’s brilliant portrayal of the disingenuous, green-conscious CEO. It’s predictable, but absolutely worth seeing. Tina Fey shows a lot of talent that her one dimensional TV Lemon never gets to show. Greg Kinnear is Greg Kinnear; a lot of talent, but boy don’t you wish he would get a role that showcases it. Amy Poehler is her generation’s crude version of Lucy Ball, and please understand that’s a compliment!

the character development of course focus on Tina's character and her development of relations with the other characters. Trying to have it all and how she realizes her desires. The plot develops at a good pace and we met each person in their personal enviroment. There are various scenes that are very clever and I do not remember seeing this plot line develop to this extent. The inplay among the actors isbelieveable for the greater part. Steve Martin is able to almost make his character believable and he does try to leave us with a few incites about business.

This is a pretty good movie. It's fairly funny, but unfortunately if you've seen the previews you've seen most of the funniest scenes. While I love Tina and Amy, this wasn't much better than a SNL sketch. I thought the movie was slow, only funny in parts that were few and far between, and overall disappointing. Most of the funny parts were previously shown on trailers and commercials. For a feature length movie, it had about 20 minutes of funny.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
