Very well done and the running time of 2.5 hours flies by. Of course it's hard to cram so many details of the book in the movie but I thought they did a good job with great casting (except the female editor at Millenium, forgot her name) wasn't what I imagined.
One of the best movies I've seen in a long while. It's best to just go see it without knowing too much background first. Really funny and twists and turns galore. My only gripe...I thought the main guy was horribly miscast. Charmant!
Read all four books, was anxious to see the movie. Was very surprised that the theatre crowd was not comprised of teenage girls, it obviously has a much broader appeal. I thought the casting was pretty good...except for Rosalie, she didn't seem right. And the Charlie character looked way too young I thought. They should definately gear the next movie toward a more adult audience, it felt a bit teenager/silly at points.
The anticipation! Waiting in line for an hour on opening night, packed theatre, front few rows with a stiff neck. I thought it was really good but not great. The whole Jennifer Hudson/assistant storyline was so out of place (and unneccesary). I also thought the Carrie apartment makeover was weird. I liked the ending though and generally thought it was a good movie.
Fun movie for a low-key night out. Was hoping the script was a bit more witty, zippy, zingy...something. Very predictable but acted well and sufficiently entertaining.
Eh...enjoyable enough here and there but overall not very interesting. Why would SJP's character be interested in the Dennis Q. character? Page and Church were great though.
