Full frontals of Jason Segel were more distracting than funny. Tough choice: Bell or Kunis. What's a guy to do? His apartment looked a lot like a certain bachelor's apartment I know too well. The scene with the staff had me dying with laughter. Who knew puppets could be so entertaining ? Worth seeing again on DVD.

This forgettable cookie cutter Judd Apatow comedy totally failed to exploit its premise (twentysomething manchild can't cope when his girlfriend breaks up with him). Instead this directionless movie just meanders from scene to scene looking for cheap laughs from bloated Jason Segal's full frontal nudity and a hackneyed s*x crazy British rocker. Perhaps this is amusing material for the same age MTV crowd and ADHD teens who will laugh at anything, but plenty of creepy or awkward non-jokes (including an unfunny set piece concerning a puppet opera) will turn off more discriminating viewers.

We didn't think this movie was going to deliver what it did. A very funny, Superbad/Knocked Up funny movie. Actually perhaps even more funny because of all the weirdly funny dialogue that Segel delivers in various scenes. Paul Rudd is great as a hopped-up surfer, and guys....just seeing Mila Kunis in this movie makes it worth it....just for her Mary-Like (something about mary) personality and of course she a-smokin. Great movie, go see it. You'll laugh your tail off.

Jason Segal's script is consistently funny. The story moves right along and never really slows the movie down. The laughs start early and often. Segal managed to craft a script that is funnier than most Apatow-related fare without being nearly as crude. This movie is a must see for anyone who likes comedies.

This movie, overall, was not that awesome. There were funny parts and well developed characters, but I wasn't laughing hysterically at anything. Maybe my expectations are too high ... I expect to laugh non-stop. There was big gaps in my laughter, I would say this movie is really not worth seeing. A better movie to see that is set in Hawaii is 50 First Dates. I almost walked out during the first half of this movie; it was that bad. The goal behind this movie seemed to be to come up with two or three catchy lines that pre-teens will repeat for the next ten years. The unnecessary male nudity was a little contrived ... in fact, the whole movie was a collection of mediocre jokes and mildly shocking sequences cobbled together into a barely watchable comedy. Segal and Kunis were very good together, but overall, unless this movie gets you a date, don't bother.

i loved this movie for so many reasons. jason segel and judd apatow are quite a match. kristen bell was adorable, as always, and mila kunis was more beautiful than ever with her character's laid-back attitude. russell brand played his part hilariously as well. comedy, romance, disaster, desperation... perfection. other great appearances from actors playing the hotel staff brought in even more comedy. great fun. can't wait to buy it.

I just didn't think it was that funny. I wanted to like it, but not so much. It wasn't terrible, just not great. None of my friends (guys and girls) who've seen it thought it was funny either. Oh, and the funny clips you see in the trailer - several are cut from the movie. definitely a rental. spoiler alert: As for content, it was thin but did have feeling. But the girlfriend breaks up with him (you find out later in the movie) because he was a loser and she had tried everything to save the relationship before looking elsewhere, yet they still make her out to be the bad guy and want us to cheer when he dumps her. and of course - once again, average/not sexy guy gets hot girl.

Loved this movie because they vocalized the thoughts we all have but never say out loud. Couldn't figure out why there were so many kids in the theatre, now I know why. WARNING: THIS MOVIE CONTAINS MALE FULL FRONTAL NUDITY, for those that care. Forgetting Sarah Marshall was NOT nearly as funny as the commercial trailers lead you to believe, so I was disappointed. And don't think that just because Jonah Hill from SuperBad is in it that it's as funny as that was, because IT'S NOT. In fact, his character in this movie wasn't even necessary. I think the producers created a spot for him to lead everyone to believe that this movie would be as funny as SuperBad--deceiving. I HATED that necklace that he wore--I just wanted to rip off those big, fat beads from around his neck & send them spewing all around the room. That necklace bothered me SO MUCH. THE GOOD NEWS: In all fairness, Jason Segel as the lead character Peter the dumped one, was pretty funny, & I think he was probably the best character of the movie. Kristen Bell as Sarah Marshall played her character well also. The character of Aldous Snow bothered me IMMENSELY because he just looked scuzzy for most of the movie, like he needed a REALLY HOT BATH, a good shave, & definitely needed to get to a hair salon, to pick out all the bugs out of his yucky looking hair. Sorry guys, but dirty grunge IS NOT appealing to most decent women, so keep that in mind if you're having girl troubles. The movie lags & sags in the middle, so is over long. But the movie DOES have SOME good comedic value. I just wish there weren't so much raunch & filth in it, including so much casual s-e-x, because quite frankly, it didn't need all that to be funny.

I have loved Jason Segal since Freaks and Geeks and he has only gotten better since then. This movie did not disappoint in the least. It was very well written and I laughed out loud through the whole thing. I hope we get to see more from Jason.

My honey & I saw this movie yesterday, and thought the flick -- even down to its title -- was great!! I expected to only have a humorously good time -- but was surprised to find a great story line & even some realistic "life lessons" instead. Basically, each major character had an experience of being involved with someone who did them wrong. The question at this point is: how will they deal with that hurt? Use it as a benefit or allow it to ruin the rest of their lives? Even the title, "FORGETTING Sarah Marshall," is applicable: don't allow what the "Sarah Marshalls" of the world did to you to ruin the beauty that someone who really IS supposed to be in your life will/can bring. (People sometimes hold onto negative past experiences so tightly that it actually wrecks havoc on their present/future lives.) Another thing, simply enjoy living life to its fullest!!! Go check it out...you won't be disappointed. If nothing else, you'll certainly laugh. :-)

I I thought the movie was sorta funny, but it did lack a little to the love story part. I didn't like that Dracula song. I think it should have been left out of the movie. Kristen Bell was good as the bad girlfriend. The guy who played her boyfriend should have probvably been played by someone else. Notice I said the guy who played the part, not his name since his character was weak.

Went to see this with the wife, expecting mostly a heart breaking story. But this one was funny, touching and actually a really great storyline.
Almost felt like watching someone's life happen before your eyes, versus most of the contrived movies shown today.

This was a good comedy. I would suggest you leave kids at home since it shows full nudity! Yup, full male frontal!!! Very funny but gets a little repetative. Enjoy!
