My daughter and I loved this one. We loved the action and adventure. We are both big Shia LaBeouf fans and think he is a great choice for Indy's successor. It was fun and there was something for everyone. We are going out to buy the previous movies to share with the kids. My husband on the other hand called it ho-hum. He just didn't get it.

A lot of the same action, stunts and special effects we've seen before with Indy movies. If there weren't 3 better ones already made (yes, even the second one) this would stand out more. Reminds me of The Mummy movies with Brendan Fraser. Visually pretty strong, but story and characters not so much. An Indiana Jones wanna be. Thought the characters were kind of cardboard and just going through the motions. Some stunts were just silly. Liked the 1950's setting and for fans of the series, it's still fun enough.

It was good to see Marion from "Raiders" again. My 8 year old loved it and all the special effects. I liked the 1957 era which ages Indiana correctly. Good overall Indiana Jones experience on the big screen.

Overall I would say that this wasn't the best Indy movie ever made, but it's definitely not the worst. Harrison Ford is ageing gracefully and I can see the Indy franchise being extended with Shia LaBeouf as lead. This will be one of those movies you will purchase when it gets released on DVD. But go see it in the theater first, you won't be disappointed.

It was kinda of a stretch for some scenes, but it was a nice ride. Maybe a second time seeing it will be better, but I was expecting a little more. There were about 4 scenes that were not believeable, even by movie standards. CGI looked okay, but you could definitely tell the CGI spots.

Very rarely felt like an Indiana Jones movie save for some action and exploring sequences. Ford played the character a little too "happy", The other films he carried a stern seriousness to him that sold the stakes of the mission. He didn't seem to take it seriously, so I had a hard time doing the same. The "jokes" fell flat. The entire audience I viewed the film with barely chuckled the entire time. The "ants" sequence felt a little too "Mummy"-ish to me, which is upsetting considering those movies are like a watered down version of this far superior series. And that's just it, overall this just felt like a really watered down version of a great film series.

we thought this was a great movie. Long over due Ford did look a little old and some of the stunts were really unbelieveable or he looked a little off trying to pull the off but for the most part it was a great movie with lots of action and it was great seeing the old familiar faces from the original moves. Being an "INDY" fan, I looked forward to this movie. I looked forward to scenes about his hat, to the time we would hear the "indy theme", when Indy would FINALLY figure out who the kid's mom was, and then who the kid really was. All the 50's scenery, cars, etc....it was great... but for a kid who knew nothing about the "Commies", I can guess it might have not "flowed" or been boring, although, my teen enjoyed it. It was typical Indiana Jones fare. Go expecting THAT and you will not be disappointed!

Solid movie with unbelievable effects. Stays true to the Indiana Jones story with great comedy and big stunts. Not too over the top, as Indy is portrayed as a little older and can't quite move as fast as he used to. Go see it.

Excellent movie. It kept very much to the look and feel of the previous episodes. The pace was fast and continuous. A 2 hour movie that did not seem like it was anywhere near that long. Never a dull moment. Harrison Ford seemed to take up right where he left off. Went with three other people, representing two generatiomns. We ALL had the same opinion. Time well spent. Money well spent.

A fun follow-up Indy adventure. Some of the special effects were a bit over the top -- almost like they did them just because the could. Be prepared to suspend your disbelief and just enjoy the movie. If you worry about what could and couldn't happen you'll miss out on the fun. Overall, it was entertaining and enjoyable. Just what you'd expect from Indiana Jones.

With the past Indiana Jones movies taking place starting pre-WW II, this one is only fitting that it occurs shortly after the war. This gives the franchise fans a flow to connect with previous story lines. I for one can appreciate the story, since its relevance to today is probably more apparent than previous installments of Indiana Jones. They have obviously built off from a story that is being shown regularly on the History Channel about the mysterious crystal skulls found in Mexico and Guatemala, and about some mysterious powers some claim they possess. The special effects are fantastic, and the CGI of today really adds to what was already great creativity of past films, and it added real grandeur to some big moments, like the nuclear bomb test, and the closing scene. Shia Labeouf has really come into his own in this movie, and gives credit to Harrison Ford's character without taking away. Only Shia has the ability to shine his own brand of humour without taking away Harrison's presence, something he has been known for during the short time he has been acting on the big screen. I like the fact that some older characters were also brought back for this film. I recommend this movie to all who have liked Indiana Jones movies, and anyone who has appreciated history blended into movies, like National Treasure has done. A fictional story that is likely to get your children more interested in reading and going to school to learn more about the world.

The transition from a younger Indiana Jones to middle age was very effective. The movie had all the great theatrics you'd expect in an Indiana Jones movie. The archaeological side, which was prominent in previous movies, is not in abundance in this one. The weaving of his love interest and family is a great way to leave an opening for future sequels.

IJ4 is a big, gooey half melted ice cream sundae of a movie... its themes swirling into each other, but still tasty and satisfying. Its what happens if you give three kids (Spielberg, Lucas and the tall acting one......) a chance to make their last ever sundae...and they were eager to throw every fond memory into the bowl. Very entertaining just what a movie should be. A feel good movie. People look to deep into a movie and don't let there brain have fun. Everything has to be realistic and believable . If you love Indy you will love this one too. So enjoy.

I loved the movie. If you love Indiana Jones then run to the theater and see it fast. It also had a bit of Sci-fi to it which was great! Harrison Ford never disappoints!!

We liked it very much. I have to agree the plot was really unbelievable but...so what??? Are you going for story or just to see that Harrison Ford (he's still hot at 62!) He and all the characters did a good job and We thoroughly enjoyed it..we went not expecting much..but we were thoroughly entertained.

Fast paced ,action-packed, thrills upon thrills.Great entertainment for the entire family. The movie does what all good flicks should-entertain. Cate's Russian accent a bit weak at times (having traveled to Russia and having family from there). The special effects and hidden passages were captivating, and the bugs, snakes,etc. -well let's just say better them than me ! Overall loved it,as did my husband and 7 & 8 yr old sons. Would see it again tomorrow.

This movie is quite good and Indiana is still as energetic as ever. He acknowledges the fact that he has grown older with humility and humor. Spielberg and Lucas have done it again!

Plenty of silliness afoot here. A great opportunity to make a classic goes somewhat amiss with a weak and obscured storyline involving some silly Russian vs U.S. treasure hunt nonsense. There are some very good action sequences, though some are a tad unbelievable e.g. young Indy overtaking jeeps as he swings through the trees with a bunch of monkeys. Entertaining never the less.
