Disappointing over all

Very rarely felt like an Indiana Jones movie save for some action and exploring sequences. Ford played the character a little too "happy", The other films he carried a stern seriousness to him that sold the stakes of the mission. He didn't seem to take it seriously, so I had a hard time doing the same. The "jokes" fell flat. The entire audience I viewed the film with barely chuckled the entire time. The "ants" sequence felt a little too "Mummy"-ish to me, which is upsetting considering those movies are like a watered down version of this far superior series. And that's just it, overall this just felt like a really watered down version of a great film series.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
