Eastwood in another good "Eastwood" performance. Good story line and well cast, this is a film that certainly keeps your interest, The social message is good -perhaps (to learn) to love thy neighbor .......in a roundabout way. Like it or not the "stereotypes" were very true to the real thing.....if you have ever run into types like that. And Detroit has many of that kind. The ending was certainly unique, albeit sad........but very effective. Well worth the time and money. Good flick.
Did not know about this movie other than its 13 Academy Award nominations. Great cinematography, sound, color, terrific script, great casting and acting, and uplifting ending. Is the favorite for Best Picture this year. It is a very revealing portrait of India (including a mini travelogue in part). Also really liked the shots run in the background of the credits. (Stay and watch!) Your attention will not wane. Highly recommended to everyone. Terrific picture.
Another Hollywood computerized action thriller. Show is 2 1/2 hrs......way too long. First 1 3/4 hrs. it does hold your attention. Then you begin to wonder if it will ever end. Attempted social messages are way too muddled. The believability factor is way over the top...after all this is a movie version of a comic book character. Background noise often overhwhelms the dialog. Heath Ledger (God rest his soul) is terrific as the Joker. He really makes the movie. Worth seeing, but would not think of seeing it again.
Spielberg and Lucas et al do their thing ..again. Stunts a bit too far-fetched, but great fun, none-the-less. Do we see the third generation (IJ's son) coming into the picture? Think so. Spielberg and Harrison Ford bring entertainment back to the movies. No surprise. Go with the entire family and focus on being entertained. You will be.
