If you're looking for a pure escape movie, this one is it. As with the previous three, the supernatural and the natural world collide in strange and sometimes wonderful ways in this movie. Harrison Ford still wears his Fedora well and despite some reviews to the contrary, I found his stunts believable and true to the pace of the movie. Of course no one could really do all of this in real life, but that's part of the fun. The plot has surprises and twists that play hommage to the "B" movies and Saturday movie serials from the 30,'s 40's and 50's that first inspired the series. The best thing that can be said, is that this movie is true to its roots and it is a great addition to the series. Let's hope it is not another 18 years between chapters!

I don't think it was up to the other Indiana Jones standards but thought it was definitely entertaining. It set up Shia LaBeouf as the obvious successor to Harrison Ford for any future installments. If you go to the movie without the preconceived expectations of it being as good as Raiders of the Lost Ark, you will enjoy it.

I have read all of the critics and some of the customers reviews. It seems to me that the critics must have been watching a different movie than I watched.
I found this Indiana Jones movie to fit into the style and story line I would expect for this character. The story line was perfect with a normal odd seeming start that melded into the full story line in the required and expected manner.
The action sequences were great and as believable as any other Indy movie. The action at the piramid was well done.
The love interest in this movie spanned all of the other movies, covering Indy's life and frustration with women. Marion was a wonderful touch, and Indy having a son was great.
I think I saw the same relationship between Indy and his son as I saw between Indy's dad and him. A wonderful touch.
Thanks to Spielberg, Lucas, and Koepp for a wondeful forth entry to the Indy move ledgend.

Was fun, cannot believe it has been so long between Indiana movies. Plot a bit thin and the special effects were a little over the top. No worse than riding a submarine a thousand miles though. A lot of fun once you suspend reality. Jones has aged well, just like his father.

It was a really good Indiana Jones movie! I don't think Harrison Ford misses a step in the role and even if he didn't do all his own stunts, it sure looks like him! Story was good and tied up nicely at the end. Shia swinging through the jungle was a little corny but every Indy movie has something...ABSOLUTELY go see it!!

Fantastic . . . almost on par with the original. Only thing is that Harrison Ford did not come off as realistic in that he is a little old to do many of the action stunts in this rendition of Indiana Jones. Can'd wait to add this to my collection of Indiana Jones DVD's.

I took my 3 daughters (18,13,6) to see this film on premier night. They talked about it for days afterwards. Although none of them knew the history of Indiana and his Temple of Doom or his Last Crusade or the search for the Arc.. they were enthralled as was I. The fab directors and producers did a wonderful job of weaving this story in with the other 3 such that it stands alone and together with first. Naturally because its "Indiana Jones" it's a bit cartoon-ish at points, but we love it for this. A must see.

The biggest disappointment was the lack of tension; one never felt that genuine peril was imminent. The spate of cartoonishly over-the-top CGI stunts and adventure scenes bordered on absurb, and ended up substituting for the lack of a fully-fleshed plotline. I wanted to like this movie, but by the time I'd checked my watch twice ("how much longer?"), I knew I was in trouble. The four adults gave a thumbs down, but the six kids (ages 10-16) liked it, so go figure.

Certainly the worst movie I've seen in a while and a great disappointment, I've come not to expect much from George Lucas, but as to why Spielberg and Harrison Ford would have anything to do with such a dull, contrived, lifeless film, the only reason I can come up with is that they wanted the $$$$. The plot is way too contrived - even for a film of this genre - and EVERONE in it, with the possible exception of John Hurt as an extraneuous, unneccessary charcter, either phones in their performance or shouldn't be there at all. A DISASTER.

Yes, the stunts are unbelievable. That's the point. The first Indiana Jones films were a tribute to the serials of the 1930s: the hazards were insane and the hero came out with nary a scratch when by all rights the first blow should have killed him. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has layered on aspects of the "B" movies of the 1950s, when the country was obsessed with aliens (Sci-Fi Dine-In at Disney Hollywood studios runs the trailers) and Communists. It works perfectly.

You could only wish to be as athletic as Indy at his age!! I've always been a fan of the high action, witty Indy Movies and this one keeps in line with the rest. Spielberg does his thing with lots of interesting camera angles, ILM once again makes things 'cool looking' and we tie together some loose threads in the story line. What more could you ask? My entire family, ages 42, 22, 11, 10, 7 and 5 loved this movie. I saw the first Indie movie in the 80's and my kids have watched our DVD's. You got the inside jokes if you've seen previous installations, but if you hadn't watched the other 3 movies you would still enjoy this one. It was just what you would expect, crazy stunts, lots of action and best of all Harrison Ford.

i enjoyed this movie as much as the first three. The adventures are great and the graphics are terrific. My 4 year old loved it.

If you go in willing to suspend disbelief, you're in for an extremely entertaining ride. Don't see it for the plot (which is fine, but not spectacular); see it for the great action sequences, the humor, and sweet special effects.

I was very excited when I heard that Spielberg and Lucas would be making a fourth Indiana Jones. I was let down with this movie. I felt that this movie was absolutely horrible. It was computer generated garbage. Completely cheesy. The alien angle was extremely unbelievable. All together this movie is a waste of time and money.
