45 minutes too long. Becomes a "snore-fest" once you have acclimated to the cool looking primary color scheme and sleek visual appearance. Just cannot recommend a movie that is this colorful and monotonous at the same time. It wore me out and put me to sleep several times. Seemed like it would never end and near the actual end I felt like I'd been "punished". Give the Wachowski's a gold star for experimenting and coming up with some interesting visual looks and color schemes but an "F" for over-using them and bludgeoning us with them for 135 excruciating minutes.

The W brothers have finally done it. They have taken a movie that slingshots you into kung fu monkey scenes sprinkled with ninjas. This movie is good enough to buy on DVD if you have a high def tv and a blue ray player, but if you don't skip it. A+ on the visuals and fantasy scale.

I do not understand why this movie was given such poor reviews; I liked it quite a bit, and was pleasantly surprised!! Yes, there are special effects/CGI--for this sort of film, you need that. But at heart, it's about someone not selling out, honoring his brother's memory and seeing the bad guy brought to justice...hardly original, but well-executed and not at all difficult to follow. The actors were well-cast; the film was long enough to tell the story without being rushed and therefore made it a better value for the money I spent. My advice: go rent it when it's available and find out for yourself. Hopefully, some justice will be done by favorable DVD sales and perhaps some awards from MTV, et al.

When I first saw the previews for this movie, I thought it was going to be a movie about a kid who wanted to follow in his brother's footsteps to become a race car driver, but with all of the animation and references to comic book characters, not only did I find it difficult to follow, but it was so bad that I actually got up and left about 30 minutes into the movie I would NOT recommend this movie

I never liked the origanal series. So when my friend asked me if I wanted to see it with her, I wasn't too excited but said yes anyways. I was in awe. It was much better then I expected. a new Speed fan has been brought into the world!

The Wachowski Brothers are batting second on the summer blockbuster roster with their latest anime inspired film. I must admit that I was never a fan of the original cartoon unlike several of my friends who remember it fondly from their childhood. The car is cool and the racing beyond ridiculous but the highlights for me are Christina Ricci and Susan Sarandon as the sexy girlfriend and the ideal mother. The movie was better then I expected but still channels the cartoon vibe to distraction. With a summer full of blockbusters to come, this one may get derailed to the box office pits.
