It was a little more light hearted than the Lord of the Rings movies. I rather enjoyed how long and detailed it was. I saw it in 3D and regular, and found the 3D did not add too much to the story. Well worth the money in the theatre.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, more gandalf magic than lor
This movie was great! It has a moral to the story that sticks with you. It was funny for the kids, and thought provoking for the adults.
This movie was visually amazing. There were times when I wondered if I was watching a computer generated movie, or a real back drop with CGI characters.
I hope they make the Blu-Ray in 3D. Just to make sure you don't miss it, go see it in the theatre. You will not regret it!
I felt like this one had a little more substance than the first. It had a great message, and really up beat comedy. I wish the guy from Superbad was in it more, the previews made me believe that his character was more than a small cameo. But other than that, if you liked the first one you will probably like this one. Great for kids and adults.
I am confused. The preview made it look like a comedy. The genre listed on this page says Action/Adventure. It didn't really feel like either of those. There needs to be action in an action movie, and comedy in a comedy. This movie was sub par across the board.
This movie had far too much popcorn humor in it. I felt like the directing was aiming for the Disney Channel demographic. I don't know much about the original Star Trek series, but there was a little too much comedy and not enough action. The movie wasn't all bad, at least now I know what a Vulcan Death Grip is.
My brother and I saw this movie together. He really liked it, and I really didn't. It is one of those movies where you will just have to see for yourself. I am just not into church action adventure films. I don't find the Vatican to be a big mystery inspiring entity. Overall, the acting was great, but the script should have stayed in book form.
It stays right in line with the original story line. It really doesn't feel like they are reinventing the series, it's more of a reawakening. I hope they make more! Three was weak, I agree. But don't believe the bad wrap it has already started to get. If you liked the first two, you should love this.
Russell Crowe is an amazing actor. Ben Affleck is not. Unfortunately the script is wasted on Affleck. I felt like I had seen this movie before. An "A List" actor meets a "B List" actor, and it averages a "C".
This movie was absolutely superb. It was action packed, from beginning to end. I was never bored. He uses his claws a lot more than usual. This was by far the best of the series.
This movie had absolutely no rhyme or reason to it. At one point, during a major action sequence the cinematography turned into a Muppet/Godzilla action sequence. I know that sounds outrageous, and I assure you it was. I loved the first movie, but this movie was awful. I really don't think Statham read the script, there is no way he would agree to a movie this bad knowingly.
