I was disappointed in this movie, expected some really big laughs and got a few small ones, made me wish I'd gone half-lit. To me this is a very middle-of-the-road effort, not nearly as good as "Kung Fu Panda" any Pixar movie thus far or the first two Shrek movies, but better than dreadful outings like "Igor" or "Happily Never After". I'd put it in the same category as "Shrek 3". My 4 year old and twin 7 year old boys liked it though so it wasn't all bad. Good voice cast and animation, if they'd invested as much into the writing it could've been great. Too bad.

Great movie with much subtle adult themes and humor. The off-color humor is so subtle that kids won't get it but adults should be able to. Many references to older movies and characters. I loved WR Monger (war monger) as an example.

Most kids today do not know the movie monsters we grew up with but Dream Works did a great job bringing them to the screen. The movie was fun, witty, and didn't leave us feeling disappointed. I do not look too deep into a films underlying message normally I just want to be swept away for a few hours and forget about life and this one did it. Take the entire family to see this film. You won't reget it!

All around a good movie to take the family. I had enough spots in it to really make it worth while for me and the kids just loved the monsters and aliens. The boys (8 and 5) really enjoyed the 3D difference and could have stayed for more. Speaking of which... I really must add that you HAVE to stay for the credits... there's more to it... and that's all that I'll say. LOVE Seth Rogen and don't forget Keiffer Sutherland is in this too

I took two 8 year olds 7 a 10 year old & we all laughed. Everyone had a favorite scene. Seth Rogan has such a great voice for animated films.

My husband and I agree that we liked this movie but we also feel like this movie (like most new kids movies) had a few sexual innuendos that made us squirm a little. We have an 8 year old who is highly intelligent and she was right on these. We did enjoy the movie though!

I enjoyed the movie for the most part, except for the part that they had after the credits had run. It was kind of a "bummer" to an otherwise good fun flick. I especailly liked the Missing Link character. Dr. Cockroach was kind of fun to.
