My spouse and I recently viewed Moneyball. I can't say it was the best movies ever, but it is definitely worth seeing. The acting is worthy (esp Jonah Hill) and the story interesting. We had previously read the book and weren't disappointed by the film. Appropriate for ages 16 and up.
Great job following up on what was a great movie to begin with. Robert Downey Jr. has panache and good comic timing as the hero, and Mickey Rourke oozes sliminess as the villain. The violence is not gratuitous or bloody. Top notch and worth every penny!
Saw the movie with my entire family (ages 78-10). Dragged a little a couple of times, but for the most part , we all really enjoyed it. Yes, there are a couple of scary parts, but ghosts ARE (big surprise here......) scary! One thing to know, if you suffer from motion sickness you might want to take a Dramamine before watching the 3D version. While the effects are super - a few of us had reactions to the flying scenes (headache, dizzy, nauseated.)
Just OK. Funny, but I was still looking at my watch about halfway through the film. Would have rather rented it. Kung-Fu Panda and Bolt were much better movies.
Saw it with my 2 teen daughters. We all loved it! Funny and thought provoking. One daughter called it a "female empowering movie." Still, I feel you could go with a guy, and he would still enjoy it.
