This movie was excellent! It was probably, out of all the movies, the closest depiction of the book. There was plenty of humor, more so than in the past, but this was a good balance since the story lines continue to get darker. The special affects were AWESOME even for these movies. I was not disappointed and will be going back to see it again. Can't wait for the DVD!!!

The movie was great and really had no slow parts like order of the Phoenix did. Overall i was very happy with the movie.
But i must say, i was extremely disappointed that the rather large fight scene towards the end of the movie was completely cut-out. If you have read the books you will also be a bit turned-off by this and wonder why it was cut in the first place. If you haven't read the books - well ignorance is bliss...

As others have said it was a bit disappointing.There is so much focus on the girlfriend/boyfriend storyline, lots was left out.Many memories (that I could not wait to see) were left out. There were 3 main themes to the book: 1) Snape: bad or good 2) Memories, the new/old professor and the build up to finding the Horcruxes and 3) Draco's repairing of the cabinet...HELLO...these were barely touched.Of course the sets were great and everyone did a fine job of acting, but it sure moves slow.My husband, who has seen all the movies, but not read any of the books was really bored and a bit confused because he was not able to fill the "holes" in with the back story.I LOVE these books and this movie was ok but the book is better.

I was disapointed the movie was slow and the ending wasnt good at all, they say this is the last one but they ended it like they were going to continue it so there wasnt anything finalized and it was like to be continued. So if they really arent making anymore it was one of the worst films I have seen in a very long time. With all there magic you would think they could bring people (key people) back to life. Oh well I guess it is a wait and see if there arent more to come.

If I had never read the books, the movie would be great. But, there were many parts left out (poor Tonks!), and some scenes added that did not add to the movie, it just took up time. The dramatic scenes in the book were short in the movie. But, I still enjoyed the movie and will buy it when it comes out.

Overall, I thought this was the best Harry Potter film yet. I was very impressed with the actors as a whole, especially the growth seen in the actors as children to this point. As an avid Harry Potter reader, I appreciated how the movie followed the book as much as possible without it becoming a 4 hour movie. The set design and special affects were superb and I felt that they handled Dumbledore's death with great dignity. I'm very excited about the next two movies.

I thought that overall the movie was very good. There were a few things missing that i really thought should have been in there. Like the fight scene before Dumbledore is killed and the funeral at the end. I know time was conserved by not adding these so the movie wouldn't be so long. I just would have prefered them to be included. Again, the movie was very good. I would even say the best out of the whole lot so far.

I would definately recommend this movie to all my friends and family. Right from the beginning the special effects caught your attention. It had a great story line and kept your interest through out. I was disappointed in HPATHBP. I had high expectations, however I felt it lacked the intensity, explosion, and storyline of the previous HP movies. At the end of the movie I just sat there thinking, "So this is it! What just happened?" I hope the last two installments redeem this series.

I thought it was a very well done rendition of the book. I pictured it quite similarily in my mind while reading it. The cavern scene was well portrayed. The things i didn't like were the attack on the Weasley house, the battle, and the fact that they left out the funeral at the end. The battle needed to be more action packed and dramatic and the funeral was important for closure for this particular movie, since it reveals Harry's plans for next year. But overall, excellent.

I felt like this movie had a couple of problems - 1st - it was too long and slow. 2nd - it was trying to be a romantic comedy. The movie spent more time on the boy-girl relationships vs Harry vs evil. They kept repeating scene (disapearing cabinet) when they could of spent more time on Tom Riddles history or the caved scene or the death scene at the end. I felt like this like a cliff notes version of the book or you could say, a Readers Digest version of the book. Their focus was not on the real meat of the book.

I consider myself a HUGE Harry Potter fan..and I really tried to like this movie but could not. Emma Watson is great in her part . (I get the feeling she's the only one that read the books and liked her character). The changes were really unfortunate and leave big holes for the end.

This was the fastest 2 1/2 hours I have ever sat through. Although many scenes from the book were left out, the movie was still very entertaining. I think they did a great job of capturing the most important details, and I can't wait for the next movie!

The Harry Potter mythology continues to produce some intriguing twists and turns that make for solid entertainment. The Half-Blood Prince sequel feels like more of same things that impressed us before. This one felt to me like a pause in the story that serves to complicate the plot so that it can gather momentum in the next sequel. After so many sequels, do we (the audience) really need to catch our second wind? See it if you must, but don't expect to be thrilled with the ending of this installment.

I think this movie could be at least 45 minutes shorter. There were too many unnecessary shots of the same thing. There was too much foreshadowing that was over kill. If I hadn't read the book I would have known everything that was about to happen. The beginning dragged a lot and the end was disappointing if you had read the book. A lot of the teenage romance aspects were extremely sappy and could have been a lot more subtle. There were a lot of moments from the book that were undermined a lot. This movie was also a lot more visually graphic (scary) than the other movies though which surprised me since it was a PG rating. It was also a lot funnier than the other movies.
