This movie was great but it seemed as though they took two movies and stuck them together. There were seriously three points in the middle of the film I thought they were fading to credits when they faded to another scene and opened a new plot line. Two-face had way to short of a role in the film too. They should have left him for the next one.

This film has had so much hype surrounding it that it would be impossible to live up to it, but surprisingly, it does. Nolan has crafted a well conceived crime story that doesn't put it's focus on the fact that it is a comic book movie, but rather, that it is a crime story which happens to have a comic book character as the protagonist. This film will leave you on the edge of your seat and talking about it long after you've left the theater. It is full of great action, interesting stories and wonderful characters, both good and evil. Brave the crowds and see this immediately.

Griping and turn by turn excitement. This film goes back to its original comic book roots while displaying as more of a graphic novel than a comic. Superb casting and direction. This film sets up another ultimate franchise that Hollywood would go to the bank smiling.
Most awesome scene is the 18 wheeler doing a complete 180!!!! There are many other riveting moments like towards the end when you see Two-Face emerge and when Batman and the Joker fight one on one.
You definitely would want some popcorn for this one....its a true nail biter!!!!

My take is mixed: yes, Batman fans, there's a lot here for you to sink your teeth into if you love the genre. And Heath's The Joker is off the chain--he stole nearly every scene. But there was a lot left to be desired -- the plot was choppy and at times it was unclear who the good guys were in all those good guy/bad guy alliances. Why are chases obligatory in the action/adventure genre? Ever since Bullitt, I suppose, directors and writers have to have one or more rock'em sock'em chase scenes seemingly as a substitute for good plot and story line. You have several in this one. BoorrriiiiiiiinnnnG!!! This thing went far to long, too. The mind can only absorb as much as the butt can stand -- a good 30 minutes could've been chopped and it would've been the same movie. Finally, I kept wondering what it was about the part that drove poor Heath to take himself out (accidentally or otherwise)? Yes, the J was a very bad dude, but c'mon, this was a comic book character!! Nonetheless, Heath, you did a great job and I'm saddened in watching you that we won't see you again, as the bad bad J, or in any other role. Kudos, man. (PS: was that funny tick with your mouth and tongue real, are part of the dimensions of your characterization?)

I was really looking forward to seeing this film, even before Ledger passed on. Being able to see him in his last full role prior to his death was a great opportunity and he did a fantastic job. The entire movie was great and well worth the 10 bucks I spent to see it.

Although there was more action in Batman Begins, THE DARK KNIGHT is probably the next best Batman movie ever! It has the best renditon of the JOKER's character possible. Heath Ledger plays it so well, almost comparable to Johny Depp in how he gives every character he plays a life of its own. LOVED IT! Highly recommend watching it in theatres, it's an incredible experience!

I watched The Dark Knight with my wife this past weekend and I must say we both left speechless. Let me start by saying this ain't your dad's good,clean wholesome Adam West style Batman, cohorting around with the pasty-faced Joker whilst Batman and the boy Wonder find some goofy way to foil his G-rated mayhem. Heath Ledger's Joker is sheer evil and could care less about the people he hurts or the terror he creates. Usually I leave a superhero movie feeling confident that though fantasy the good guy always triumhs over evil. Not this flick!! The movie pulls no punches and spares no feelings . I found myself unable to leave the theater even for a minute to use the restroom. Heath Ledger is brilliant as the Joker and the all-star cast bring credibility to all the characters. A must see for the summer!!

The Dark Knight is truly Dark but what a great movie. I have seen every one of the Batman flicks as well as the old Batman TV and also the animated series. This is true to the comic book character as well as the animated series. Before Bale, Michael Keaton was the only one who I put any credence in. Bale is definitely the Bat. I was a little disappointed that Two-Face was used up and think Eckhart did a good job. What's next????

Watching Heath Ledger's character was really disturbing. Children under the age of 13 should not see this movie. The acting was excellent, with the exception of a few cheesy lines, though they didn't ruin the movie at all. You are watching pure evil in action, so keep that in mind when you watch it.

The hype is real, folks. Ledger's much anticipated performance is raw and dark with a comical twist. I found myself rooting for the villain at times. The film is quite long, but action packed and well worth the wait. I see Heath in contention for an Oscar and recommend seeing this in the theaters at least once. The performances by Bale and Ledger rival Keaton and Nicholson's. You heard it here...Batman is cool again.
