I went in to the theater thinking "Ok, it's not going to be the book so expect some disappointment..." Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! There were a few things that didn't flow (the meadow scene was a little strange, I prefer the book version; and Charlie isn't quiet what I thought he'd be, but I love him in the movie), and I had heard that the portrayal of Bella was going to be awful. Needless to say I was impressed overall. The fight scene was AMAZING (no one expected little Alice's part) and I felt that Kristen Stewart did do Bella justice in the end. All in all a fantastic movie, and I can't wait to A) see it again and B) for the DVD release :)
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I was really looking forward to seeing this film, even before Ledger passed on. Being able to see him in his last full role prior to his death was a great opportunity and he did a fantastic job. The entire movie was great and well worth the 10 bucks I spent to see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
