I especially enjoyed the added portion of the movie. I call it that due to not knowing previously that two-face was going to be in it. I felt that when he came into the movie, it was like another movie all together. Bonus movie for the price of one.

Excellent movie. True to the Batman himself, it was dark, complicated, honorable, and clever.
The special effects were phenomenal, the characters are fascinating, and the story kept you on the edge of my seat.
Several award-worthy actor performances.

My husband and I were disappointed in this movie. It went over the top as far as believability, there were too many sidestories, and the disaster scenes were just too much. I think Heath Ledger did an excellent job, that has not been overrated. However, even his character created questions in my mind: How did he do what he did in the time he had? Where did he get all his resources? We happened to watch "Batman Begins" the same evening of the day that we saw "The Dark Knight". We liked that movie much better, it created feelings for the characters, this one did not.

This movie was unbelievable. Heath Ledger probably created the best villain of all-time. If he doesn't win an Oscar for his role in this movie then I will lose all faith in the what the Oscars should be about. Christian Bale is also the best Batman of all time and director Christopher Nolan was able to make all the stunt scenes believable. I would definitely see this movie in the theaters again and will most definitely be buying it in Blu-Ray when it comes out. A definite must-see for any movie fan.

The Dark knight is the best picture of the year so far. It has a great plot picking up right where Batman Begins left off. But what makes this film so great is the emotion you feel for the characters (the Joker included) There isnt very much CGI in this film which makes the action feel all the more genuine. Heath Ledger deserves an Oscar nomination for this film, and it would not be a sympathy vote. He gives an amazing prefomance which will go down in the movie history books as his best ever preformance. Aaron Eckhart is also excelent in this picture. I think he should get a nomination but the academy probably disagrees but we all know how wrong they can be. Go see this film even if your not a Batman fan you will enjoy it.

I loved the first Batman and had very high expectations of this one with all the hype. I can certainly say that my expectations were easily met and I was overwhelmingly pleased! Action from start to finish! The semi scene was amazing and Ledger RIP did a terrific job as the joker. I don't know if they are going to do another one but this one is going to be tough to beat for sure!!!

This movie lived up to all the expectations and talk . . . it was awesome. I really have enjoyed how the more recent Batman films were more real to life, and this one did not dissapoint. Heath Ledger played an amazing Joker and it's a shame there won't be a sequel. Go see this movie!

This movie has everything. It is one of the best superhero movies ever made. The character development was detailed. Heath Ledger's maniacal Joker was amazing and is truly the antithesis to Batman. I can truly say I got my money's worth - 2.5 hours was the perfect length in which to tell this story. I highly recommend it to young and old.

Until I saw the movie, it was difficult to imagine how playing the Joker could have affected Heath Ledger the way we have all heard that it did. I also did not believe that any performance could live up to the hype. After seeing the movie, it is clear that the pain he must have endured to bring such a compelling villian to life was at least partly responsible for his death. It's hard to articulate the depth of his performance or imagine how he acheived what he did in this movie. The hype doesn't do his work justice. We will miss you, Heath.

Several thumbs up on this one!!! The movie was brooding, yet powerful in its themes of good and evil and how fighting for right and good is not without cost or consequence, especially to those we love. Heath Ledger's Joker sets a new bar for the character, and Ledger's death is a tragedy, because this role would have surely set his career on fire, but is now, a worthy swan song.

Incredible! Extraordinary! Not to be missed!
All the cliches apply. The direction, casting, acting, cinematography and special effects are ALL stunning. I was worried that I would find it tedious given its length--no problema, amigos! Each scene moves the plot along, so it's just two and a half hours of rip 'em up, blow 'em up, edge-of-your-seat drama, suspense and excitement. Don't even think about missing this one.

Wow! What a great cinematic experience. The Dark Knight is dark, driven and very character driven.
Starting with Batman Begins, the reboot of this franchise has successfully delved into the soul of who is Batman and why is Batman. The Dark Knight continues this conflicted and driven tale of passion showing a desire for something bigger than oneself at the same time as a yearning for a life separate from that cause. An amazing storyline performed by a supremely talented cast combines for a must see movie.
Heath Ledger's performance also made the grade. An incredible memento of a good actor just hitting his prime.

For the first time when making a comic film adaptation they've finally broken the mold. Not only was this an EXCELLENT Batman franchise film, but it actually pulled itself into crime/drama catagory. From acting to FX to plot to cinematography this film surpassed all it's comic book predecessors. Superb.

This movie was fantastic. Heath Ledger's performance gave the Joker a new life as a truly evil terrorist. He wasn't an over-done cartoon character, he was a insane, make-up wearing sociopath. The entire movie was much more believable, but still beyond your imagination. I loved it.

Wow. The special effects were worked beautifully throughout the movie, to the point where the plot was not cheapened. Every character expressed their character with high regard, and it would be a social injustice if Heath Ledger did not receive an Oscar for his role.

As an adult the move was entertaining and plausible. The Joker was well played and Batman showed he was human after all. This is not recommended for small children no matter how much they beg. I would say a older teenage child can understand the social issues raised within the movie.

Great Movie, well made but very dark and intense. However-Don't take young children to this movie! Its rated PG-13 for a reason. Graphic violence is too much for the young ones.
