This movie was incredible! Ther are not enough words to descibe how amazing it was. It will be talked about for years. Heath Ledger was amazing. He put a whole new spin on the joker that noone else could ever come close to. Christian Bale definatly delivered in this movie. It's probably the greatest BATMAN movie i've ever seen!

This movie was definitely well worth the price of admission. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole 2-1/2hrs. It is all the more sad that Heath Ledger is gone because his performance as the Joker was outstanding!

I was hesitant at first to see this movie because, frankly, the idea of seeing Heath Ledger play such a demented role right before he died was creepy. I'm totally glad that I faced my little fear and just went and saw it. The plot was very enthralling with only one or two slow spots that served as a break from the action. I also loved that there was a point where the movie felt like it was over, but then a new chapter started. I can't wait to see what happens to Batman in the future.

I know a lot of people have said this already, but I really thought I would go into this movie expecting too much and come out atleast slightly disappointed....that couldn't be further from the truth!...
I can't even begin to describe HOW AMAZING heath ledger was as the joker!!...i thought christian bale was unbelievable in the first movie, and he was awesome here too..but heath ledger was beyonddd extraordinary!...i also loved maggie gyllenhall as rachel, i thought she did a muchh better job than katie holmes..
in terms of the storyline, they managed to combine it all, action, drama, love etc etc without going overboard..
I HIGHLY recommend this movie to all..even if you're not mesmerized by it, you're guaranteed to like it..a LOT :)

All of the actors brought their A game to a top notch script that plays out like an epic crime novel. The trailers do not begin to show the extent to which Heath Ledger disappeared in his role as the Joker. This movie is surprisingly brutal for PG-13, although that shouldn't put off intelligent viewers from watching this portrayal of society on the brink of terroristic chaos. Expect to be horrified and thrilled in equal parts.

This movie was amazing. Great special effects, amazing makeup, and superb acting. This movie should not be missed and it is well worth going to the movies to see. Wasn't a huge Heath Ledger fan before this but his acting is out of this world in this movie; an A+ performance! This is a must see for anyone who likes movies!

I am the kind of critical movie-goer that can without fail find something I don't like about a movie, no matter how tedious. An awkward film edit here, a poorly delivered line there, etc. The Dark Knight is FLAWLESS! It is one of, if not thee best films to hit the big screen in the last decade. I thought that Batman Begins was going to be hard to beat, but The Dark Knight did it handily. From start to finish the movie has you on the edge of your seat, heart-beating to the sound of the ticking clock in the soundtrack. The performances are unforgettable, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhall, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, etc. Once the lines have died down go see The Dark Knight in IMAX, it will change your life! It is sold out through the end of August up here in Seattle (it is July 22nd as I write this). This movie deserves all the attention it's getting, all the money it's making, and all the records it's breaking. Best movie of the year: The Dark Knight.

Perhaps I read too many stunning reviews before I saw this movie, but I felt that, though good, "The Dark Knight" was not all it was cracked up to be. Heath Ledger was amazing and definitely deserves an Oscar nomination for his purely psychotic Joker, but I felt like the movie focused a little too much on Harvey Dent's mental deterioration instead of the Jokers'. So far this summer, there have not been any stunning movies; everything has been painfully average. While I would not place DK in the same group as "Mama Mia!", it was strikingly unimpressive.

The Dark Knight had 3 times as much action as Batman Begins. Heath Ledger as joker couldn't have been better. I wish he was alive to see just how much praise he and his role as joker is getting. The Dark Knight makes most other movies seem pathetic! This has so much action, wit, and cleverness. I haven't met one person that doesn't like it. I was expecting a lot and it didn't disappoint me. Well done!!

What a great movie experience!! The Joker was pure, insane evil. He was THE character of the movie, but that is not a bad thing. He should overshadow the quietly heroic Batman.
Harvey Dent was an arrogant white knight who couldn't live up to his own expectations...just as he should be portrayed. Lots of parallels between Harvey Dent and Batman/Bruce Wayne. Some occur to you as you watch the movie, and some hit you two days later in an "Ahhh" moment. I watched the movie before taking my 13 and 14 year old girls to make sure it was okay for them. Determined it was and took them 4 days later. Just as good the second time, if not better. Caught more of the details about the corruption the second time.
Batman was played just as he should be - a solemn, constant, unchanging figure. He is merely the thread that ties together everyone else.
And the gruesomeness you didn't see is scarier than any fake blood they could have splattered on the screen.

Grabs you by the throat from first frame till the credits. Really a dark film and deadly serious. Some of the best actors in the business are cast here. Screen play was extremely well written, direction and editing are extraordinary.
Tense setup and suspense throughout. Heath Ledgers performance is not hype...it is brilliant. Christian Bale easily the best Batman ever. Word of caution for some...this is an incredibly violent film. That said if you are into crisp excellently directied action films...this is it. Dark Knight sums it up!

All in all GREAT entertainment! I have coined a new phrase..."Jokerisms"! e.g. "that's what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" ! Heath we miss you! I didn't appreciate the Batman's character as much this time. He just didn't have that magnetism that some other lead men have had when they've played that role. As for that, Maggie fell a little short as well. But the other characters of Commissioner Gordon...Wow! Much deeper than we've ever seen before. And Mr. Luscious Fox... again... bravo! Harvey Dent... well now we have a good historical view of that character. Again... GREAT entertainment!

I have been a Batman fan since I was a little kid and this is by far the best of the entire series. Heath Ledger was so mindblowingly amazing I went back and saw it again the next day after seeing the midnight showing on opening. Really fantastic.

The Dark Knight is the best Batman movie, best movie of 2008, best superhero movie, and one of the best movies of the decade! Amazing action throughout. Great acting esp. by Bale, Ledger and Eckhart. Ledger 's Joker is the 2nd best movie villian of all time right behind Darth Vader. The most enjoyable time at the movies you could have, and well worth the price of admission. Terrific acting, most especially by Heath Ledger. I was enthralled every time the Joker was on the screen.
Depth of story is even better than Batman Begins. While BB explored Bruce Wayne's search for meaning, TDK explores Bruce's realization of the implications of his creation (i.e. the persona Batman). This storyline in addition to the Saw-like manipulations of the Joker make it a fantastic experience.

This movie rocks! I saw it opening night and was floored! The dark humor presented by Heath Ledger's Joker was a great way to appeal to the intellect of the viewer and to offset a couple scenes that kind of dragged. The action scenes made up for any questionable scences in the film. Loved the bat bike! My only complaint was Maggie Gylenhall as Rachel because Maggie is so plain that she reminds me of a skeleton with no emotion. Even the dramatic scenes with her character were ruined by the little emotion that she conveyed. She was still better that Katie Holmes-don't get me started....Overall a great film that I know I will watch many times in the future.

I was really skeptical about Nolan's ability to outdo himself after Batman Begins... but he's made a masterpiece. Not to mention the fact that the entire cast turned in wonderful performances. A lot of people may think people are praising Ledger's performance b/c of his death, but he honestly turned in his best performance of any movie I've ever seen him in.

whew,i thought the summer heat plus the wildfires in norcal made this the hottest summer ever!dark night tripled the heat!!!!!!!great characters(portrayed well by great actors/actresses-hats off to heath), great polt and good twist and a big surprise(i didn't expect two-face to be in it),powerful explosives and pulsating action!it exceeded my very high expectations and all the hype!!!this is the most electrifying classic i have seen!!3 hours wasn't enough!!!!!i could watch this movie over and over!
