Terrific acting, most especially by Heath Ledger. I was enthralled every time the Joker was on the screen.
Depth of story is even better than Batman Begins. While BB explored Bruce Wayne's search for meaning, TDK explores Bruce's realization of the implications of his creation (i.e. the persona Batman). This storyline in addition to the Saw-like manipulations of the Joker make it a fantastic experience.
