I am the kind of critical movie-goer that can without fail find something I don't like about a movie, no matter how tedious. An awkward film edit here, a poorly delivered line there, etc. The Dark Knight is FLAWLESS! It is one of, if not thee best films to hit the big screen in the last decade. I thought that Batman Begins was going to be hard to beat, but The Dark Knight did it handily. From start to finish the movie has you on the edge of your seat, heart-beating to the sound of the ticking clock in the soundtrack. The performances are unforgettable, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhall, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, etc. Once the lines have died down go see The Dark Knight in IMAX, it will change your life! It is sold out through the end of August up here in Seattle (it is July 22nd as I write this). This movie deserves all the attention it's getting, all the money it's making, and all the records it's breaking. Best movie of the year: The Dark Knight.
