The scene flow is a little erratic at times, the more ensemble nature of the film - which is a great strength of the film - lessens Christian Bale's performance and the final resolution of Dent's character is a little dissapointing. Despite those things, the film is very well done in all areas and greatly builds on the foundation of the first film. Overall, The Dark Knight is a grand success and I will certainly be seeing it again.

This movie was great. Heath ledger gives truley the best performance of his career unfortunatly if he get an oscar nom. it will just be because hes dead since films like this never stand a chance in teh oscar ring. You never see Heath you see JOKER! The script is well written. The movie doesnt let you get board because you kjnow teh joker always has something up his sleeve. This is a diffrent joker although the honor payed to jack was very visible to me in heaths portrayal. He made it his own and know one will ever be able to follow. the stunt coordination was very inventive without being over top and seeing Harvey Dents descent into TWO FACE gave new insight into the classic villian that has never been seen before. I wasnt sure is Eckhart could pull it off but he did far beyond expectation. This film is over all AMAZING!! This film will give IRON MAN a run for its money. SO why did i only give it 4 out of 5? Well partly because of the campy and completely unneaded monolauge at the end but manly Because next to Ledger, Bales portrayal of Batman looks even more flat than his roles usually are. And his "Batman" voice is down right annoying and sometimes hard to understand. He may have top billing but this films success has very little to to with him. The great performances given by Ledger, Cane and teh impeckable Freedman are what make this movie worth seeing. I know their probably gonna do a sequal but I doubt it will live up to this film.

The newest Batman film lived up to its expectations. Heath Ledger does a brilliant job bringing the Joker to life, making his character believable. Some of the dialogue was slow & dry, especially that concerning the love triangle between Bruce, Rachel, and Harvey Dent. The special effects are phenomenal and several times the audience burst out in applause in the theater. The overall message sent at the end by the movie is not incredibly strong or convincing, but overall, the movie was amazing and a joy to watch - even just for the fact to see Ledger in such a psychotic role.

The Dark Knight is a movie that can stand alone, it doesn't need the help of comic book fan-boys to boost the sales. When attending the 12:01 premire I observed at least 1000 people flood into the theater, meathead types, the nerds(I count myself here), teens, and older couples even. Heath Ledger steals the movie, puts "a smile" on its face, then throws it back in yours.

The long awaited The Dark Knight is no dissapointment to true batman fans or the general movie going crowd. The story is so complex with so many layers that it deffinetly deserves multiple viewings. The characters are so well crafted and so believable that you are totally invested in them in the first ten minutes of the movie. The two and a half hour movie goes by to quickly, you never lose a moments interest. Last but not least if Mr Heath Ledger doesn't get an oscar nomination then it will just be one of the biggest injustices in the film industry. Heaths creation of the Joker is so haunting and so stunning that words cannot describe his performance. My hat is off to Mr Nolan and his cast.

The Dark Night was an amazing follow up to Batman Begins. Several of our favorite villains come and go in this action packed, quite humorous film. Heath Ledger by far left us with nothing short of a perfect final performance and should win nothing short of an Oscar. When he wasn't on screen, I was waiting to see him again and when he was on screen I had no idea what was to come. The Joker made the movie and would not have been complete without Heath's performance. Overall, deffinately a movie worth seeing on the big screen. If not once, over and over again!!!

OMG Frist of all you must see it in IMAX you will get your moneys worth. I love the sound of bass in the movie's story was grate non stop action. the motorcycle/ truck part had me jaw dropped it was a very very good movie 10/10.

The Dark Knight really opens up and expands the character of Batman, including his nemisis the Joker. I thought the film makers did an excellent job of portraying the mind of the Joker. As well as giving the good impression that Batman is the hero that Gotham needs, just not the rite time.

Ledger- Awesome!!!!!! The Joker's character is everything I wanted it to be plus some. Evil, demented, warped and all out nuts. He reigns no compassion as he blows through the city trying to uncover the identity of "The Dark Knight" Bale's performance was great, but overshadowed by Ledger's rendition of "The Joker." Sad that such great talent had to end so tragically.

Utterly amazing. Despite being two and a half hours, the movie is so well crafted that you can only cry 'more!' when the credits role. Ledger is nothing short of spectacular in his portrayal of the Joker. Bale gives another amazing performance as the Batman, and Eckhart and Oldman are good in their roles as Dent and Gordon as well. If you were worried about Holmes being replaced by Maggie Gyllenhaal, don't panic, she fills the role quite nicely. This is easily the best movie so far this year.

Definitely the must see movie of the year!
Very good movie. Very much so visually satisfying and the storyline does not stray from that which long-time Batman lovers know and love.
I found almost nothing negative to say about the film. Batman's voice got on my nerves at times - I had to strain to understand him.
But that's really nothing compared to the film in it's entirety.
5 stars.

last night, at midnight, myself and a posse of some of my friends went to see the first showing of Batman, the Dark Knight.
It was Amazing. i will see this movie at least twice more before it is taken from theaters. from begining to end, it kept me on the edge of my seat. there were amazing fight scenes, great dialogue and story, and it rang true to the most hardcore of batman fans.
i would have to say that the best performance awardsa, in my opinion, go to Heath Ledger and Maggie Gyllenhal.
Maggie brought a dept and a realness to the character of Rachels Daws that was missing in Batman Begins. i could actually beleive she was a real person.
Heath did what will be known as the best performance of his life. the character was very well thought out and researched. and he invested in it to the point where i forgot it was heath and simply accepted him as the joker. and he is the best joker i have ever seen. i now realize why that is my favorite villain. he plays him as ruthlessly as the comics portray him. and he is sooooooo amazingly real, that i could beleive person like exists and is simply waiting to plunge our world into chaos. if only we had batman.
