Best Superhero Movie ever, Period.

The Dark Knight is a movie that can stand alone, it doesn't need the help of comic book fan-boys to boost the sales. When attending the 12:01 premire I observed at least 1000 people flood into the theater, meathead types, the nerds(I count myself here), teens, and older couples even. Heath Ledger steals the movie, puts "a smile" on its face, then throws it back in yours.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
