While the plot isn't very complex and the action is sometimes hard to follow, the film is emotionally potent, visually stunning and just plain fun to watch. I've already seen it twice.

The scene flow is a little erratic at times, the more ensemble nature of the film - which is a great strength of the film - lessens Christian Bale's performance and the final resolution of Dent's character is a little dissapointing. Despite those things, the film is very well done in all areas and greatly builds on the foundation of the first film. Overall, The Dark Knight is a grand success and I will certainly be seeing it again.
