I am a huge fan of the Batman movies, and have been waiting awhile for Dark Knight. I loved it! Its a shame about Heath Ledger because he truely did an amazing job playing the joker, you had no idea it was him. The movie had suspense, you never knew what was going to happen. I know everyone walked out loving it. I highly recommened seeing this. Only complaint, why when batman talks do they insist on making him have a deep raspy voice, it takes away from what he is saying and makes him sound ridiculous!

This movie is literally VERY dark, but very deep as well. Heath Ledger does a fantastic job as the psychotic Joker, though we were frustrated at his total lack of a background or motive. Returning characters did a great job as well. There were several very "cool" moments and a lot of good dialogue and depth. The movie DOES seem a bit long. There is some foul language as well, but only a few scenes where it is noticeable.

This movie was awesome. It had a good plot, a great selection of actors and actresses, and a unsuspected ending. Heath did an awesome job of playing his character to the stone and made the audience remember why he was so well liked. Good job Heath and cast!

While everything is well done here in the form of production, CG, writing, and acting; it is a very dark version of the Dark Knight. Your take on this movie will depend on your taste for edgy, aggressive storylines. It's well put together as an installment for DC. Please consider your kids if you plan on taking them as I personally don't think this represents a good family movie. It's more in line for adults.

quite possibly one of the best films I've ever seen. Christopher Nolan
crafts another masterwork in pop filmmaking, and has transcended that
dubious title of "pop," and made a prestige film about a super hero.
Moreso it's a film about three idealistic men in a cynical world just
trying to make things better, both succeeding in their quest, and
failing. The performances were all-around spectacular, but the
stand-out performances came from Heath Ledger and someone whose
perfomance is being overshadowed by the late actor, Aaron Eckhart.
Everyone's gushing about Ledger, and deservedly so, but I'm going to
gush about Eckhart. As Harvey Dent, Eckhart infused his character with
equal parts idealism and nihilism, perfect for the duality of the
character. This is the best example of a movie which portrays gritty
realism in a completely unrealistic situation. In fact this movie could
have cast off the costumes and instead of being a super hero drama,
could have been an Oscar worthy crime drama, ala last year's The
Departed. So listen up, Academy: ditch the rhetoric and hypocritical
elitism and nominate this movie for best picture. It definitely
deserves it!

Not a ledger fan. But he make you belive that the joker could be real. not over the top but the way i would see the joker. i feel sorry for any one that will take up his role as the joker because to me broke back is gone from the history of ledger he is now the joker forever more.

This movie goes beyond expectations by far. Heath Ledger brought something to the Joker character that no one could dream - brilliant and haunting performance...definitely Oscar material. The story didn't get tired at all and the visuals were outstanding. You will miss out if you don't see this movie.

I couldn't believe how well done this movie was. It exceeded all of my expectations and then some. There was a very strong cast present with no weak links and the editing and cinematography were perfect. Congrats on a thrill well done!

The Dark Knight isn't just an Excellent Comic Book movie rather it is a visceral and exciting pulp drama that stars a Comic Book. Heath Ledger's performance as Joker was mere icing on the cake of an all ready brilliantly written, and directed super hero epic.
I have nothing bad to say about this movie, best in the series by far! Sorry Tim but Nolan has got you beat as the quintessential Batman movie director.

Overall a very good movie. Heath Ledger was absolutely incredible as the Joker. All of the best scenes were when he was involved. I thought two-face was a little random and didn't really have much of a reason to become evil, maybe i missed something but it seemed that he just kind of went nuts. Batman was played very well, i dont know about that voice though...

When I first heard Heath Ledger was going to be the joker a year and a half ago, I'll admit I was disappointed. I had seen him mostly in romantic roles and such, but I was completely wrong. He was amazing. The entire cast gave stellar performances. Overall it was a fantastic movie. Although there were 3 seperate instances which I thought were the ending, but it was worth it and not dragged out.
You must See it!!! nuff said

This movie was about Heath Ledger. Every scene he was in was riveting, those without him tended to drag. His performance was pitch perfect, a real but unexpected interpretation of The Joker. The movie was visually fascinating -- perhaps a few too many explosions, but a great truck chase -- but I found the plot boring overall. Maggie Gyllenhall was at her fascinating best. However...the last forty minutes was just too much for me. I really lost interest.

I enjoyed this last Batman, although the ending was not as I expected. I was impressed with the Joker in this, because he really portrayed a deranged lunatic very well. I do hope there will be another Batman, but the way this ended gave me the impression that this was it for awhile.
