This movie is not only the best Batman movie made, it is the best super hero movie I've ever seen. The only bad thing about this movie is that Heath Ledger won't be around to play The Joker again. As much as I loved Jack Nickelson as The Joker, Ledger took the roll to a whole new depth.

I'm usually not a fan of action movies since im a female, but this movie was probably the best movie i had ever seen! It had me at the edge of my seat the whole time and i even got startled over and over again bc of surprises and twists every so often. You HAVE to go see it if u havent already. Im gonna see it again!

The Dark Knight is a well scripted and acted comic book movie. It is by far my favorite comic book, superhero movie ever and the best Batman movie. It's long but it does not feel long. It is action packed. It had action scenes that rival movies like Heat. It has heart. Watching Bale and Ledger together is phenomenal. Bale and Ledger make Batman and the Joker realistic, scary and forces to be reckon with. I loved every minute of this movie.

Wow! I love the Good Vs. Evil genre and this one blew everything else away. Heath Ledger is amazing and his character was extremely well written. Also, this has to be, hands down, the sexiest Batman. The Dark Knight can bring his white light to me anytime!

I, along with EVERYONE that has seen this movie have only ONE thing to say.....IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE DARK KNIGHT, GO SEE IT!! at first every time Heath Ledger would come on the screen, it was sad, thinking he was gone. but he is SO good, that i was lost in his character and enjoying it to the absolute fullest. this high tech modern day Batman adventure is awesome and worth the 5 hours i waited in line. ABSOLUTELY ROCKIN flick. five stars all the way.

Where do I start? First of all everything about this movie is amazing, the effects, the gadgets and most of all the acting. Christian Bale is the best Batman ever! Michael Caine is better than ever, Maggie Gyllenhal took over very nicely as Rachael Dawes. But, The one that stands out more than any is Heath Ledger. His portrayal of the Joker is nothing short of astonishing. If he doesn't get an oscar nomination I will be amazed! Go see it....you won't regret it!!!

After seeing this movie, my mind is racing. The story is superb, as is every performance by each actor big and small. The characters are deep, real and engrossing. The subplots intertwine with the main story pulling you down stream in a current of emotion. A true modern day tragedy, you watch The Dark Knight redefine his limits to truly be the protector of Gotham. Before you walk into this movie, you think you know all about the Joker. It's not until leaving the theater, after watching Heath Ledger's portrayal, do you understand how macabre and Brilliant the Joker really is. The tragedy smears from the big screen into real life with the loss of Ledger. This movie is truly Haunting. Not to sound cliche', but this is one of the best movies I've ever watched! YOU MUST SEE IT!

I'm not generally into this genre. Although I loved the predecessor to Dark Knight, I didn't expect to get as involved in a thick plot with its sequel. I was surprised...there was plenty of action and evil for my husband, and enough suspense and drama to keep me engrossed as well. Go...it's worth seeing on the big screen.

The story flowed nicely, 2.5 hrs didn't seem that long even though my particular theater was packed and very stuffy. All actors hit their marks, Heath Ledger of course shining the brightest as The Joker. Amazing, really, even without all of the posthumous hype. The action was nearly brutal a few times (which I love) and the makeup was dark. Two Face's look is especially gory, I wouldn't recommend for very small children. Overall I loved it, I think it's a fitting Batman tribute.

Ledger is incredible, surpasses the hype, which is very hard to do. He completely owns his anarchist Joker. He has his funny moments, but he's very scary too. Unbelieveable job...and his last line is so haunting, given Ledger's death.
Eckhart was an amazing surprise as Dent/Two-Face, as was Maggie Gyllenhal (sp.), who soundly salvaged Rachel Dawes and made something three-dimensional of her.
Overall, if Begins established Wayne's motivation to become Batman, then TDK shows his reluctance at the role and the duality of being a hero. Simple concept, but executed so well by Nolan's script and his excellent cast.

This movie is awesome. I've already seen it twice and already have plans to see it a third. Now granted I don't think most people will go that far, I do think this movie is an excellent well rounded movie, that happens to be about a comic book character. The acting, especially on the part of Heath Leger, is superb. There will definitely be Oscars handed it out.

This movie has raised the bar for all other movies that are being adapted from comics. The intensity of performances from Bale and Ledger(who should recieve a posthumous oscar) is some of the best. Iron Man started it this year and Batman has answered back.

It's been awhile since I was sucked into movie like that. Ledger brings The Joker to life in a manner is almost unpleasant. You find yourself not really laughing at some of the things he finds funny because you can tell he has this sick sense of humor and you cant bear to think you could have the same ideas. Beyond Ledger however Gary Oldman did an incredible job as Gordon, so much so that you rarely stop to think about him acting, you just assume he is to an extent. Overall it was amazing, the pacing, the action, the seriousness of the picture made this one of the most perfectly made movies I have ever seen.

First of all let me start off by saying that im kinda upset with myself for not seeing it on the Imax. Second i did not like Val Kilmer as Batman but as my cohorts agree, Michael Keaton was the best until this Christian Bale guy came along. The Dark Knight is the best movie i have seen since I Am Legend and before that...300 on Blu Ray. Heath Ledger killed Jack doing the Joker, i just wonder sometimse if Jack is somewhere thinking how he could've been hetter in that role. I havent seen the Hulk nor Ironman yet, but i seriously doubt that they can live up to the hype that The Dark Knight did. Also when this comes out on Blu Ray, which it will, i would probably wait in line for it and shell out the 35 dollars to make my collection that much more immaculate.........PEACE

Even though I'm not a Batman Fan (nor will I ever be a Batman Fan) I wanted to see this movie because of Heath Ledger and the hype this movie produced. I am a terribly hard critic. There are very few movies that I have ever enjoyed, however I have to say that Heath Ledger played a role that very few have or will ever be able to pull off. He was amazing.
Overall, the movie was very good. The actors did a wonderful job and the special affects were awesome. I'm afraid of heights and this movie did nothing to help that fear.
I still say that I'm not a "Batman Fan", but this movie is worth seeing if for nothing more than to see some excellent acting (Heath Ledger is not the only excellent actor in this movie). Heath Ledger not only deserves a nomination for an Oscar but he deserves to win an Oscar.

Sweet!!!!!! Comic book fan or not, I would recommend this movie to everyone! The Joker was eerily amazing, the plot was well constructed, and the action sequences were great. It kept me guessing; even knowing the basics of the story-line from the comics, I still couldn't guess how the characters were going to get from point A to point B.
The movie deftly walked the line of exploring the heavy themes of good, evil, and human morality, without becoming heavy-handed. Plus, Batman's new toys almost make your mouth water in anticipation.

I had been excited about this movie ever since i had seen Batman Begins. Everything the first movie had, this one lacked. The first movie had a good plot, good action, good characters, and most important of all a good ending. Heath Ledger was incredible in the movie, and blew away everyone else in the movie. This was part of the problem, no one could compare to him, and that is not the point. Also, I feel much more inspired by a vigilante (Like Batman or V in V for Vendetta) than any politician that has ever run for office. Also, the Joker seemed to be too convincing, everyone always did what he said to do, it was realistic until he had Dent kill people, it just didn't make sense. All in all, it reminded me of Piratres of the Caribbean 2, too much random plot, a unrealistic bad guy, and a very unsatisfying ending. The action was ok though, even though it had no purpose from my point of view.

fantastic followup to batman begins, i found the movie most realistic compared to other comic based films and of great contrast to the horrilbe shumacher reditions of batman. whilst i found the movie jumpy at times its story wasn't lost. i really did enjoy the movie and found it worth the hype.
