Ledger is incredible, surpasses the hype, which is very hard to do. He completely owns his anarchist Joker. He has his funny moments, but he's very scary too. Unbelieveable job...and his last line is so haunting, given Ledger's death. Eckhart was an amazing surprise as Dent/Two-Face, as was Maggie Gyllenhal (sp.), who soundly salvaged Rachel Dawes and made something three-dimensional of her. Overall, if Begins established Wayne's motivation to become Batman, then TDK shows his reluctance at the role and the duality of being a hero. Simple concept, but executed so well by Nolan's script and his excellent cast.
