This movie would have launched Heath Ledgers career into orbit! It was action packed, but not over-done. The sound effects on DLP were amazing! I don't regret paying 18 bucks to see it, and be in a jam-packed theater! It was hard to stand up after sitting for so long, but well worth it.

I am still in awe of this movie. It makes the first batman (with Christian Bale) look childish.
I know it's been said a million times before, but I'll say it again. Heath Ledger's performance was amazing. Also I can not sing praises to the writers loud enough!! Every thing flowed in a fast paced, intelligent, amazing thriller.
THE DARK KNIGHT DELIVERS!!!!!!

I enjoyed the plot and how the actors protrayed the characters. I felt the it was the best Batman movie yet. I'm only sad because Heath will not be able to play the Joker again I felt he did wonderfully distrubing job in the role. I would reccomend this movie.

I was completely blown away by Heath Ledger's performance in this movie. The scenes that he is in are the only scenes I can really remember from this movie. Heath Ledger's Joker is not only one of the best movie villains of all time, he is also one of the greatest characters in movie history. I plan on seeing this movie several times, all just to see the Joker

This is a must see of the summer and then one to own! "The Dark Knight" felt like an instant cult classic brought back by the other movie-goers in full costume. H.L.'s take on the --Joker-- is a hauntingly intense. That's what true talent is about.
This movie was perfectly cast ... has amazing cinematography and great sound design.

There isn't a bad thing I can say about this movie. The acting was awesome. Heath Ledger portrayal of The Joker was mind-blowing. Aaron Eckart's job as Harvey Dent / Two-Face isn't talked about enough. It is tough to go from one extreme to the other but he pulls it off beautifully. I recommend this movie highly.

This was the first superhero movie I've seen to deliver well beyond what is expected at the face level. With the reinvention of the joker, it becomes more than just good vs. evil, but plays on much deeper issues present in society. The way the joker is portrayed has morphed him from a silly villain to perhaps the most frightening and effective of all time. The movie is awesome on all levels, but the joker's presence overshadows it all. It was truly a performance that cannot be replicated.

I am not really a "Batman" or comic book fan, but I I thought this was excellent from start to finish. Though long, it continues to hold your interest. Violent but not gory, with a lot of fun plot twists, and good performances all around. You don't even realize you're watching Heath Ledger; he totally disappears into the role brilliantly. A sad farewell to a promising career.
Highly recommended!

i have to say I LOVED IT from beginning to end this movie had me glued to my seat 2 and half hours of pure storytelling, superb acting, Heath Ledger did a phenomenal job with his character, The Joker, true to form and more liken to the comic book Joker. The toys, the cars, the motorcycles, the knives, the CQC, the genius/madman of the Joker and of Batman and of course Two-Face.
Go see it.

This movie is absolutely great. Only sad thing is that Ledger is gone. His performance is scary , engaging, hilarious and truly unique. He made this movie and it IS Oscar Worthy. No doubt in mind. I will go see it again next week

This is by far the best Batman film of all time. Chris Nolan has reshaped the genre. Ledger may not win an Oscar, but he has taken the idea of villain to a whole new level that may not be duplicated again.

This movie begins with action and never lets up, there are more things happening in this movie than you can count, but it all fits and makes sense. Heath Ledger is amazing as the joker, and the most scariest villan i've ever seen on the big screen. So sit down buckle up and hang on.

Yes, Heath did an excellent job portraying the Joker, but the movie dragged at times and I actually fell asleep! I feel the entire plot twist involving Two-Face was unnecessary and would have served better in the third installment. Quite disappointing considering the crowds---wait a few weeks or better yet, wait for the Blu-Ray.

5 stars is a movie that leaves almost no significant room for improvement. I’ll say there is a certain quality about the events of certain character in the end that may have felt a bit rushed, but that is about it.
5 stars is a terrifyingly hilarious villain who makes the audience laugh and then turns them silent in shock. The Joker makes Simon Gabel (Die Hard 3) look like a kid playing a game of mouse trap and he does it with Hannibal Lecter-like presence.
5 stars is everyone being perfect. You’ve heard people say how movies aren’t as good as books because it’ll ruin the way you imagined it? Well however you imaged these characters; it isn’t as good as Nolan’s vision which he executed flawlessly.
5 stars is a comic book adaptation that did back flips over the countless obstacles between it and the “legitimate” film category. This film deserves consideration for a best picture nomination.
5 stars, simply put is a film worth your time and money.

I thought the movie was well planned and well scripted. I especially enjoyed the gadgetry and technology brought to life by Bruce Wayne. Obviously the penguin is the story line, however, I think they rushed the 2 face charachter. The development of Batman in this movie was good, but It seemed that they are moving in a direction similar to the Spiderman movies. The third movie will be the determining factor. All in all, I believe this movie was worth the wait and will thrill all of the Batman fans.
