Memorable performances by all actors with an outstanding one by Heath Ledger. You'll be on the edge of your seat the whole time; not a dull moment for over 2 1/2 hours! Interesting plot keeps it moving forward with non-stop action throughout. Don't miss this one! I just wonder how they will be able to follow-up with the next installment...

Besides outstanding visual effects and a suspenseful plot, the actors were supurb in their renditions of the comic book characters. The social implications hinted at in the movie provided a balance to the action. Hands down, a remarkable movie. Ledger, rest his soul, truly went above and beyond the portray accurately the way the Joker was meant to be seen. Two-Face was my favorite as the transformation from Dent to him was beautifully done.

What can I say, GO SEE THIS MOVIE! Heathe Ledger is award winning, Christian bale is hotter than ever, the whole move was a crowd pleaser the entire time. Never a dull moment, EXCELLENT ending. No Complaints here.

They seriously held nothing back and spared no expense on this movie.
Heath Ledger was shockingly good as Joker. There can't really be a comparison to Jack Nicolsin (spelling) because both are so good, but two completely different Jokers. Heath delivers without flaw. Christian Bale is amazing of course, though sometimes the deep voice he uses for Batman can get cheesy.
Not a lot more to say on it...It was so good.

The plot was great - captivated the viewer from beginning to end. Heath Ledger's portrayal of the cynical character of The Joker was the epitomy of his career. A MUST see - I will see this movie numerous times.

This movie surpassed all my expectations from start to finish. Heath Ledgers performance was legendary and stays with you long after the movie is over. I saw this movie once but I want to go again and again. All the actors for that matter were in top form and drew you into the story even more. I felt the ending left the series wide open for a sequel, which is welcomed with open arms. If you have any doubt at all about seeing this masterpeice, dispel them now and go see it you will be glad you did.

this movie was incredible. it was definitely the best mvie ive ever seen, and that is saying a lot because i have seen a lot of good movies. but dark knight definitely topped them all. the saddest part about going to see this movie was knowing that it would be one of the last movies you will ever see heath ledger in. he was insane in this movie. the joker was the perfect character for him, and still you would not expect this type of character for him. he was the perfect man for the part. the rest of the actors in this movie were also amazing. i would reccommend this movie to everyone, it is definitely at the top of my top ten faves ....

but should it be? The length of the movie is the major deterrent considering seeing it again. Heath Ledger provided the most memorable scenes, and the cameo of the Scarecrow as well as the use of Two Face in the Joker's maniacal plan are the higher points of the movie. The low point in the movie is the story surrounding Batman. The wrestling with personal demons is a concept used over and over in these comic book movies, which makes it almost unbearable to watch again in this film. In addition, Christina Bale's Batman voice is nothing more than an annoying distraction from this first fifteen minutes until the detached conclusion over two hours later. Bottom line, this is not The Epic of Gilgamesh, but Nolan has treated it as such. It's a comic book movie! Keep the villians and the great action scenes, but leave the existential breakdown in the cutting room for Part III.

This movie had everything. Action, drama, mystery, thrills, and romance. A high paced roller coaster from start to finish with great character develpment. Would see it more than once to really grasp the concepts.

The Dark Knight definitely lived up to the hype - it was incredible from beginning to end. Ledgers performance was haunting and stuck with me hours after seeing the show. I would definitely recommend seeing The Dark Knight.

This movie shows of the talent of the late Heath Ledger, who could easily get the 2nd posthumous Oscar of all time, for best supporting actor for his role as the Joker. Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face was good, the only thing was his screen time was limited. Bale was good as Batman, he just talked too much, and the voice was kind of grating. Michael Caine and Gary Oldman's roles were somewhat forgettable. Cilian Murphy also returns as the Scarecrow for a brief scene.

The answer is yes! If you are a 13 yr old or someone who is there just to see the action and not focusing on the story or the plot of the batman series! I thought the action sequences were awesome, but the story was more one sided basing it soley on the joker and not as much on batman. I just hope that the next one they will try to keep the focus on the main character. Instead they kept jumping around to storylines that were not going anywhere. All in all the movie is worth the price of admission ! I recommend u see it.

As stated, Dark Knight is an excellent sequel (considering most sequels do not do as well as the first movie). Great screenplay and directing; actors were astonishing, especially Heth Ledger. Best Joker by far, my he rest in peace. Bring the best and worst out of Batman, and Gotham city as a whole. If you like action and thoughtful ways of employing action, then I would definitely recommend this movie. And of course, if you are a staunch Batman supporter, like myself, you absolutely must watch it...its the law.

I had such high expectations for this movie. I have enjoyed the previous Batman as well as the old school versions. However, this one had too many characters, too much of Batman whining, and action scenes that were simply mediocre. The only saving grace was Christian Bale was nice to look at other than that I was pretty bored.

Finally a movie with flare! The characters in this film are amazing. I am sorrowful that Heath Ledger passed because he should know that his performance as the Joker was the best character portrayal that I have ever seen. He added so much to the movie! Also the titling of the two movies have been spot on. I hope that movie goers appreciate the great symbolism and symmetry that is shown throughout the movie! But, yes, in one word.... awesome!

Heath Ledger was great, special effects were average, the story jumped around alot and made it hard to follow. I give it a B+. Swap Nicholson as the joker instead of Ledger it would sink to a C+. Ledger carried the film.

I had very high expectations for this movie. They weren't exactly met, but I was impressed with it. Heath Ledger did a phenomenal job playing the evil character, The Joker. I was so impressed with his acting that I really do believe he deserves an academy award. The action sequences and special effects were very impressive. The acting was wonderful. However, there were a few scenes that didn't really flow and the story line was a little hard to follow. I also didn't care for the way Batman spoke in his deep, gruff voice when he was wearing the costume. It was a little over the top. And I think the transition of the D.A. to Two Face was too sudden. He should have taken a little longer to transform into his evil self. Overall I give it a 8.5 out of 10.

This was one of the best movies if not the best movie I've ever seen. From the story line, to it's reality and the actors' portrayal of their characters, this movie was outstanding. Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker is indeed worthy of an Oscar but I also think Cristian Bale as Batman and the actor who played Harvery Dent did a phenomenal job as well. You would be missing out on a true classic if you missed this one.
