but should it be? The length of the movie is the major deterrent considering seeing it again. Heath Ledger provided the most memorable scenes, and the cameo of the Scarecrow as well as the use of Two Face in the Joker's maniacal plan are the higher points of the movie. The low point in the movie is the story surrounding Batman. The wrestling with personal demons is a concept used over and over in these comic book movies, which makes it almost unbearable to watch again in this film. In addition, Christina Bale's Batman voice is nothing more than an annoying distraction from this first fifteen minutes until the detached conclusion over two hours later. Bottom line, this is not The Epic of Gilgamesh, but Nolan has treated it as such. It's a comic book movie! Keep the villians and the great action scenes, but leave the existential breakdown in the cutting room for Part III.
