This movie was like no other Batman that has been on the big screen. First off, let me just say that Christian Bale is the best Batman to ever put on the suit. The way he manages being Bruce Wayne and Batman is like no other. Secondly, even with the tragic death of Heath Ledger this past January, the character of The Joker was absolutely astounding. Jack Nicholson played a very good Joker in his Batman movie, but Heath Ledger goes beyond a brilliant performance.

This is quite easily one of, if not the best Batman movie ever! I also have to say that it sure diverges from what most suprehero movies are like, and as one of my friends would say, it is, in essence, a "film noir", or a movie with dark implimentations. The Joker's thoughts of committing crime just for the thrill of it, and not for the money, and creating anarchy, and his ridicule of people's "pathetic plans" in life, is something that will make people contemplate those lines for a long time after seeing the movie.

Very dark but even better than Batman Begins. I thought the movie moved at a very watchable pace; the 2.5 hrs. seemed to fly. Heath Ledger was outstanding. He was the first comic book villain that really gave me the creeps. Only down side- I like Maggie G. but she was mis-cast in this.

This las Baman movie was great. It had all the things in it to be a great action as well as thriller. Of all the Batmans, I would say this is the best. Heath's portray of Joker was mind blowing. I looked in aw, everytime he was on the screen. Spoiler**** The only thing that I didn't like about it was the last half hour of the movie. At about the 2 hour mark I was like, wow this could end right here and I would be happy. But they extended it a little too long. Plus they leave Joker hanging there laughing. Come on! End it with him in some institution making a funny remark about something. I mean the main guy in the movie was Joker. Dont end the movie without him. The audience wanted that and didnt get it and I walked out with a little hole. And by the way, Batman's voice is awful! Everytime he speaks i want to shoot him myself. I was actually pulling for the Joker. As everybody probably was as well. Anyway good movie, ok ending. Heath, we'll miss your brilliance and tallent. You were amazing!

It was just a little long - it kinda had two endings - but the movie itself was just magnificent - great acting, great action, and a terrific sequel - puts all the other Keaton/Kilmer/Clooney Batmans to shame. Just be warned - it's long.

This is one of those movies that you go into with all of the hype given by advertisements, trailers popping up on the internet about a year ago, you're pumped, you've been anticipating it, and then it's here! Bale perhaps not as central as he was in Begins, but this gives a chance for others to shine through. Heath Ledger has got the oscar by the balls, and Aaron Eckhart a close second. There's no shortage of schizos, explosives, twisted schemes and creepy encounters with with the psycho with a painted face, whose costume department can't recieve enough compliment. Go See it!

The movie was great overall. The acting was superb, especially on Ledger's part. The plot was fluid and deep. It wasn't your classic good guy bad guy, good guy wins movie. It was much more complex. Even though the movie was quite long there were minimal, if any, slow parts. Some of the action scenes are exceptional. If you see one movie this summer, be sure to watch THe Dark Knight.

Fantastic film. By far the best Batman movie I have seen. In my opinion, this is the best performance from Heath Ledger I have ever seen. Christian Bale was great too. Definitely worth the price of Admission.

I am a huuuuuge Batman fan and I really enjoyed this movie. I was entertained throughout but thought it needed something. 3/4s into the movie it tended to drag a bit. It seemed like they were rushing to tie up the loose ends, which there were many, all of a sudden. I still think Christian Bale tries to hard when he speaks as Batman but that may be my personal preference. Heath Ledger was good as the Joker. Not as psychotic as I would have liked to see but just enough to make him believable.
There were some action sequences but they tended to be watered down a bit compared with past Batman escapades.
Overall I give this movie a B+.

I'm always impressed when a movie that has a long run-time manages to keep me interested for the whole time! I never once thought about how long into it we were or anything like that. It moved along quickly, but not at a maddening pace that raises your blood pressure. Heath Ledger is such an amazing incarnation of the Joker. He made him realistic, which is substantially creepy. While some parts are particularly over-the-top, we must remember that it's a comic book story. Regular physics doesn't apply and so you must just laugh and say, "That'd be cool if you could really do that!"
Good plot, good solid acting, good effects, and alot of fun. I really enjoyed it!

movie was awesome...constant explosions and sweet racing scenes...it was a long movie and some of the plot scenes seemed a little streched just to set it up for an obvious sequel. overall, the movie was sweet and the special effects were incredible.
