I went to the movie because my boyfriend is a HUGE fan. I did not see the last Batman movie. All I can say is WOW!!! I was drawn in from the very start. I hate the cookie cutter movies that Hollywood puts out these days. I always know what is going to happen and get very bored, very quickly. This movie kept me completely intrigued, even when I could guess what would happen. There were twists and turns. The special effects were awesome, but the characters were actually developed, too. I CARED what happened to them. I laughed and even cried twice. It was the first time in years that I saw a movie where I didn't want a refund. I would see it again and will DEFINITELY buy it once it is released. Heather Ledger was brilliant, and should receive at least an Academy Award nomination.
Brilliant writing, brilliant acting. I would put this movie on the same par as Star Wars. I cannot wait for the next movie. Do not disappoint, writers! You have the beginning of an epic. Keep it up!!!

While I dont think this movie is good for real young children(to scary) I thought it was a great movie for adults and the Joker was stupendous.To bad he wont be here to take the Oscar. Graet special effects and acting.

I forgot who played Batman as the Joker's character is so powerful. The end of the movie appears to be happening all the time but it just keeps going and keeping you on the edge of your seat. I was exhausted at the end. Great script and very strong special effects. I thought Iron Man, Hulk and Hellboy 2 were good but don't see this one first or you will be disappointed by the other 3.

Excellent characterization, a much darker feel than the first one, easily sets up the third. Really, this movie was as much Harvey Dent as it was Batman. Nolan and company definitely upped the drama and depth of the players without sacrificing the action. And Heath Ledger needs to be seen to be believed.

The best movie I've ever seen is Citizen Kane. The Dark Knight is the best movie I've seen in a theater. While all elements of the film were highly effective, words cannot describe Heath Ledger's chilling transformation into The Joker.

This movie was by far the best depiction of Batman and Co. to date. Christian Bale once again does a stellar performance presenting the dynamic of Bruce Wayne and his true self Batman. Only Michael Keaton came close to it, but Bale has nailed it. As far as Heath Ledger's Joker what can I say that has not already been said other than I was a doubter now I'm a believer. HIS JOKER WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! Scary clown perfection. There can really be no comparison between his and Nicholson's which would not leave Nicholson's depiction wanting. The only way anyone could top this is if someone could incorporate the...wait a minute you can't top perfection. His (Ledger's) Joker was the JOKER. TWO-FACE also rocked and I am really hoping that he will be the main baddie in the next. See the movie.

This Batman movie was definitely not a let down as some sequels tend to be. The Joker was played phenomenally by Heath Ledger. He reintroduced us to the Joker character as we knew him during the Jack Nicholson era, yet he brought him to new heights.

So many twists and turns, and I consistantly thought that the movie was over and BAM! Another action sequence. You really have to pay attention in the movie; there is a lot of foreshadowing and hinting. I went to see it twice in case I missed anything the first time. The second time I saw it just reaffirmed that it has taken the place as my favorite movie.

Saw the Sunday matinee on opening weekend. This movie is worth the hype ... I was a bit skeptical that is was being blown out of proportion but this movie really blew me away. Ledger was fantastic and Bale was awesome once again. If there is a "must see" movie this summer this is the one. Parents should pay attention to the rating ... this one is not for the kiddies.

Very well done. Acting was superb. It was a dark tale, but gripping. Heath Ledger's performance stole the show, but Christian Bale continues to be the best thing to ever don the Batsuit. Intriguing and thought-provoking dialogue throughout.

now check this out.... I HATE BATMAN as a character..... I always hated him and the idea of a rich guy in a suit beating ppl up cuz he can afford gadgets . BUT this is a great film, I won't ruin anything but it's pretty long almost 3hrs and the twists and turns will keep you glued to the big screen. The actors I think all did great jobs.... I think i'mma see it again.....

The movie was very good. However, the audio mix is terrible. It may just be the theater we saw it in (Rave on Col. Glenn in Little Rock) but from the first second I knew something was wrong. Many, many speaking parts were unintelligible due to very poor audio mix. My attempts to get anyone at the Rave to look at the problem went unheeded. There were 8 of us in our group (one teen, 6 in their 20's, and one in his 40's) and all of us struggled to hear the lines. It was frustrating, to say the least, and dampened our experience (especially since we drove a hour each way to the Rave so that we would have a superior experience). Visually, the movie was great. Ledger's Joker was well played ... Bale gave a great performance (unfortunately, like all previous Batman sequels, the story stopped being about Batman and was all about everyone else ... let's hope the next one is not full of 7 or 8 criminals ... and let's pray Clooney gets no where near this franchise). The chick that replaced Rachel was less than adequate ... and she's ugly, too. Sorry, it's just the truth. The Gordon twist was not believable, even for a comic book movie. The movie leaves you hanging, as it is obvious the whole idea was for Ledger to be back for the next one ... you just leave wondering what they'll do. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 ... could have been an 8.5 out of 10 if we could have heard the lines.

This movie is why people go to the movies! It was just fantastic! It had funny parts, scary parts and everything in between. Christian Bale is awesome and I am not able to add any comments about Heath's performance that has not already been said - only amazing. I rarely see a movie twice but this one I would see again, most definitely.
