Let me start by saying I did like this movie ... BUT it seemed more about Krypton than it was about Superman. It was the story of Krypton and it's politics, players, and destruction. It was about the effort to save it's culture and one day build a new Krypton. The Superman character was more of a subset or side effect of THAT storyline (which I did not like that much). Clark learning the truth about himself and becoming Superman seemed far too rushed (and something he accepted way to easily). So many special effects and fast moving camera work that is was dizzying at times. They could have slowed down the non-stop action and special effects a bit and concentrated more on the story of Clark and less on the story of Krypton (but they did develop Clark too, don't get me wrong). Definintely worth seeing ... and worthy of a sequel. Henry Cavill did a good job and this was a much better version of Louis Lane then in past movies (in my opinion).

Loved the movie ... It exceeded my expectations. For those of us that grew up on the original series and movies, this film manages elements and characters and references from all very cleverly. Very entertaining, some good twists, and an all-around fun and entertaining ride! Well done!

GREAT Movie!

I went to see this film with an open mind (I grew up on Star Trek). I have to say that it is well worth all of the critical praise as well as fan praise. A great movie! You don't need to love Trek to enjoy and follow this movie ... and if you do know Trek then you will like it all the more. The cast is great - their interrpretation of the characters were their own while still remaining true (especially Bones). Great story, great cast, great effects, Star Trek must have 9 lives (plus) becuase this franchise was just born all over again.

Saw the Sunday matinee on opening weekend. This movie is worth the hype ... I was a bit skeptical that is was being blown out of proportion but this movie really blew me away. Ledger was fantastic and Bale was awesome once again. If there is a "must see" movie this summer this is the one. Parents should pay attention to the rating ... this one is not for the kiddies.
