I went to the movie because my boyfriend is a HUGE fan. I did not see the last Batman movie. All I can say is WOW!!! I was drawn in from the very start. I hate the cookie cutter movies that Hollywood puts out these days. I always know what is going to happen and get very bored, very quickly. This movie kept me completely intrigued, even when I could guess what would happen. There were twists and turns. The special effects were awesome, but the characters were actually developed, too. I CARED what happened to them. I laughed and even cried twice. It was the first time in years that I saw a movie where I didn't want a refund. I would see it again and will DEFINITELY buy it once it is released. Heather Ledger was brilliant, and should receive at least an Academy Award nomination.
Brilliant writing, brilliant acting. I would put this movie on the same par as Star Wars. I cannot wait for the next movie. Do not disappoint, writers! You have the beginning of an epic. Keep it up!!!
