From the moment the movie begins, you are drawn into the story that begins a stellar rollercoaster ride. I'm never fond of lengthly movies, but this movie continues to maintain storyline focus and great performances. I was exhausted when it finished.

This film definitely lived up to the hype, and Ledger's Joker is one of the most superbly crafted villains in recent memory. Visually stunning. My only criticism would be that we felt no emotional connection to the Rachel/Harvey romance, or to any of the characters for that matter, even when they are in peril.

This is an excellent movie and worth the hype. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Heath Ledger does an excellent job and ranks up there with Johnny Depp as a character actor. I highly recommend this movie.

This was a fabulous movie, and I don't normally get into movies like this and have never seen any of the other Batman movies, but this one kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time!! I absolutely loved it!! A must see!!!

Excellent film, a definite staple in the Batman saga. Heath Ledger owned the role of the Joker, every scene with him took us deeper in to the mind of an accused madman who considers himself 'ahead of the curve'. The evolution of Harvey Two-Face was excellent as well as Batman's use of technology in catching criminals. Overall, this film did a very good job in balancing the wow effect of a summer blockbuster while capturing the story and narrative of people doing the best they can in an unjust world. This film was much better than Batman Begins and gives Tim Burton's Batman a run for its money. I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Some may consider it long, but the suspense and action of the film make the 2 and a half hour film more enjoyable than a 90 minute feature.

Really enjoyed The Dark Knight. I know critics and people in general were not impressed again about who they chose to play Rachel. Everyone says they needed a hotter chick. I thought Maggie did a great job. Go see this movie, you will not be disappointed.

I wasn't disappointed. With a slew of bad movies that have been coming out lately, I was dreading another disappointing $12 movie experience. Especially with all the hype, I went in with an open mind and glad that I did. The movie was long ( 2 1/2 hours) but the action kept coming and there were so many different story lines, it almost seemed overwhelmingly delicious - like your favorite dessert that you were allowed to have multiple helpings of. I definitely recommend seeing this movie. Ledger plays a true socio-path and everyone else also does an excellent job, including Christian as my favorite Batman.

Love, love, loved it!! Christian Bale is RIDICULOUSLY delicious!! Heath Ledger ABSOLUTELY deserves the Oscar & all of our admiration!! I was even surprisingly able to stomach Anti-American Maggie Gyllenhal....
I found it to be a powerfully & perfectly orchestrated production & would absolutely recommend seeing it IN the theaters!!
IF there were one thing I had to change.... If you are going to have a movie that is as long as The Dark Knight, perhaps be more careful about having so many scenes that "seem" as if it's going to be the end of the movie... After the 4th or 5th time that you think you're at the end, you start to wonder WHEN the movie is going to end, rather than hoping it never does!!!

This is the Batman film that fans have been waiting almost 20 years to see. Batman / Bruce Wayne goes through an amazing character arc, which is all the more impressive considering this is a sequel. The story is a huge, complex crime drama epic, a story worthy of a great character like Batman. The acting is across the board excellent, with special kudos going to Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent, and especially Heath Ledger. His horrific Joker exceeds all expectations and puts previous actors' attempts to shame (yes, including Jack). As with its predecessor, this film picks a theme and sticks with it to the end, this time being about the hard, even impossible choices we have to make. Because of those choices, each and every character in this film is changed forever. Having such change happen to the characters in a major studio franchise film is a gutsy thing to do, and it puts this movie in the league of classics like "Godfather II" and "Empire Strikes Back". This is one for the ages, a brutal, rough, adrenalized thrill ride which left the audience exhausted, mesmerized and wanting more. Best Batman ever.

No Batman, or super hero movie for that matter, has ever come close to being this good. Edge of your seat, non-stop action from minute 1 to minute 150. This is a must see. Ledger as Joker is one of the all time great villians.

The movie was very action packed..although it was quite long. I don't recommend going later in the night because even though its very interesting .. being tired takes over. There were parts that alluded to the possibility of a sequel. So if you get the chance I'd go out and see this movie while it's still in theaters!

Heath Ledger's performance steals the show.
It's disturbed and unsettling. NOT a movie for minors. And the best expression of 'Batman' in a moive yet.
This is (IMHO) the BEST super-hero movie of ALL TIME. I really feel sorry for the Iron Man movie because it only got to hold on to that title for such a short, short time.
Buck up, Iron Man...Watchmen is coming. So Batman better watch his back!

It wasn't as "dark" as I thought from previous reviews even though it was a dark role for Heath Ledger. It exceeded my expectations and will definitely be going back to see it again. It is a shame that Heath wasn't alive to see his masterpiece hit the theaters!

Dark, intense, Heath Ledger is awesome but the counterbalance with Gary Oldman is great. Loved Oldman's restrained low-key performance. Ledger is just plain scary. Every fear we have he emulates.

There is one reason, and one reason alone that this film stands out in my mind over the many films I have watched over the past year, and that is Heath Ledger's performance. I loved all the camera movements, and large scale shots in the film. but I found myself desiring the next scene involving the joker. It's one of the greatest performances of the last 10 years.

It was a good movie. Obviously, it is a setup for a follow-up movie with the Joker since the character was never explained. The movie was a little long and disjointed at the end. It seemed just when you thought it may be ending it continued. It could have been tighter and shorter at the end. Otherwise, it was good and I would recommend it.
