I really enjoyed this film. The performance by Heath Ledger put this movie over the top of one of the best Batman movies ever. I am sure Ledger will be remembered for his last and greatest work. Christian bale also added another master performance to his portfolio. I highly recommend this movie to anyone not just batman fans.

I thought this movie was excellent!!! This was a longer movie, but there wasnt a single moment where I wasnt on the edge of my seat. You got a little of every emotion with this movie and WOW, was the performance by Heath Ledger, the Jokers character incredible!!!! I give this movie a 10 and would pay again to see it on the big screen.

I liked the first one (Batman Begins) better. The movie was too long, too many repetitive chase scenes, and after a while, I got bored with one more building blowing up in digital surround sound. Credit of course is due to Heath Ledger's incredibly creepy performance. Morgan Freeman steals every scene he is in. The makeup for Two Face was distracting, as it was too horrific. While series has its almost plausibility as a strength, no one could walk out of a hospital with such an injury in reality.

It was very dark, very intense, and overall a great movie. There were enough twists and turns to keep me guessing, and the acting was fantastic. I would definitely see it again and take a friend!

Talk of Heath Ledger's performance being Oscar-worthy shouldn't be just hype because of his death. He was phenomenal as the Joker, so much better than Jack Nicholson's portrayal in that cheap Batman movie with Michael Keaton. None of the movies from that franchise series was all that great, but Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are kick-butt movies with great story lines. I just wished that Two-Face could have stuck around for another Batman movie with Christian Bale. I would have loved to see that character develop. Three great, dark characters in the likes of Batman, the Joker and Two-face. All in all, a great movie worth seeing again.

Best Batman movie yet! Loved it. It was true to the dark aspects of the comic book characters. A good step away from the dumb and silly personality the joker character had acquired through previous versions in different media.

Not since "Return of the Sith" have I been so excited about a movie. My son insisted we go on opening day (not my first choice), and I relented. I am so glad I did. The entire cast has turned in incredible performances, and of course the efx were unbelievable. Do not wait to see this one!

I and a male friend went to see the Dark Knight at the Sunday Matinee. There were many families there.
This movie should be rated R! You do not want your little ones watching this.
Yes, this movie is a heart pounding, nail biting, psycho thriller!
Yes, the late Heath Ledger should get an Oscar for his work...BUT NO, it is not for kids. There were parents taking their children out crying.
This Joker was very graphic explaining how his abusive father knifed his face into this smile....about his mother who was also abused by his monster dad who snatched this young boys life away. Unfortunately, the Joker becomes his dad and takes it turther explaining why he also likes to torture his victims ...prefering the knife as did his Dad...Even Batman's scars tell the tale of a tortued soul.
At the end many of us left the theatre shaken...male and female. Not to mention the misguided moms and dads trying to explain what was on the screen to their children.
Since the dollar rules the day, poor movie goers will get the shock of their lives if not prepared. Beware go in with your mind set on being chilled to the bone!.

The action did not outweight the story. The action elements complemented the story. The acting in this movie is right on. Everyone delivered. It is a great adaptation of the comic book saga for the big screen. Kudos to DC Comics, the producer and the director. I wish the X-Men movies had been given the same level of respect and the same level of integrity observed. Awesome. Go see it right now!

Heath gave an epic performance. It's so sad to know we'll never see him again, but at least we have his role as The Joker to look back on, an Academy Award winner for sure!
The movie was everything fans could have wanted in my opinion. You won't be disappointed, it delivers on all accounts.

I don't normally like these kinds of movies, but the family wanted to go so I went. I was blown away. The action and the plot was fantastic.
The joker was really scary. Little kids may have nightmares though. I want to buy it when it comes out.

This movie exceeded all the raving by quite a stretch. The actors were outstanding. Not only did Ledger give an oscar-worthy performance but so did Oldman and Eckhart. Maggie Gylenhall (sp?) was a great substitution for what's-her-name, who was easily the weakest link in the last Batman. Everyone of them bought into the roles and believed the plot and it showed.
The story was was sold me, though. It was complex on the level of Usual Suspects. It was smarter than Chinatown. Each new twist brought an even sharper turn and it flowed seamlessly. It was the fastest 2:30 hours I've watched in years. The one knock against it was that the plot was so dense it almost lost me a few times and it lost my girlfriend at one critical junction. If you see it, don't buy a drink because getting up could mean the difference between following the movie and watching cars blow up.
As with the last Batman, Nolan's cuts and 360 degree shots gave the story the comic book granduer needed to remind us that it was a super hero movie. The absolute lack of a single cheesey clip is what seperates his two films from all other superhero movies.
As soon as it was over I wanted to see it again. Overall the best movie I've seen since The Two Towers. But even that I've had numerous opportunities to see multiple times and catch all the nuances.

The movie is every thing the comic is and more! It's about a regular man with the initiative to go above and beyond the call of duty! No powers no magic just skill and determination. This makes for a real life experience for any would be hero! The Joker speaks for himself, an amazing character brought to life by an incredible actor. Suspenseful, thriller, the whole inchelada baby! I'm definietely adding this to my movie collection when it comes out!
