I am not a huge comic book geek, but I read most of the classic comics as a kid. Marvel has really stepped up and put out two excellent films in Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. This Hulk film is so much better than it's predecessor in every way, don't hesitate to go if you like superhero movies. The Avengers tie-in makes this all the more tantalizing as it makes all of the following Marvel movies almost a series.

This version of the Hulk really brings the audience back to the days of the comic book and even the original series, following Banner and his attempts to try to blend in and disappear off the radar. The look is much better, not the playdough purple and green of the first movie and the action scenes were much grittier and full of a excellent cuts and angles. I really must marvel at Marvel (sorry for the pun), as they begin to splice their heroes together, one after the other, which of course will lead up to the avengers movie and without a doubt, will blow audiences away. I can only say, if you're a fan of the original series, you'll fall in love with this, and even if you're not, you'll still have an amazing night out.

I am usually not into "superhero" movies. However, I am an huge action movie fan. The HULK trailer caught my attention more than any other superhero movie. It was a must see! This movie was action packed basically from start to finish. If your looking for an edge of your seat, heart pounding movie experience....you have to check this out. It works. Only the ending in the creation of the Abomination feels somewhat rushed and truncated, but the film captures the spirit of the comic and the tragic nature of the character.

Firstly the CGI looked cheap and rushed, and reminded me of video game cut scenes. They were cartoony, seemed to use unconvincing physics, and clashed blatantly with the live action. Noticing this even during the first few minutes of the film was enough to dim my expectations, and they never rose much further. Everything else about it was fairly competent. The action sequences with real actors was well staged, the pacing was tight, the cast was of course peerless. But I had no reason to care about any of it because the whole point of all was for Ed Norton to turn into a silly looking cartoon person and "SMASH" things. Some point.

I wasn't thrilled with the first Hulk movie and once again I was disappointed. Everyone I knew made a big deal about it so maybe that was why there was such a let down. The way too fast story line of raging monster to monster who wants to take care of Betty was a little reminiscent of King Kong. The ending was weak. Not awful, but I could've waited for the dvd.

The first half of the movie was pretty good. I liked it up to the point where he was trapped at the University. The battle there against Thunderbolt Ross and the troops was very good, but... when the Hulk is in the shadows and you can't really make out his features earlier in the film he looks...well...incredible! But once you see him in the daylight he just doesn't look right. Also the battle with the Abomination was similar to the battles in Transformers and Batman Begins. They're filmed so close and tight that you can't see what the heck is going on. I guess subconciously I was comparing it to Iron Man...which I absolutely LOVED! I'm glad that Marvel is in charge of its own films...but they need to give up on the Hulk. This is twice now and they still haven't gotten it right. I did enjoy all the "Easter Eggs" for us Marvel fans, though! Maybe I should recommend this film just for that!

The action in this film is great. There are 3 main action scenes with Banner or Hulk and all are well done. Everything in between - the character work, advancing the plot, etc. is a real mess. It actually seems like there was more to this but it's missing - evidenced by some stuff from the trailer not appearing in the final cut. The movie's almost 2 hours as is so maybe the studio made it a business decision to cut out some of the "deeper" scenes. But I think they easily could've thrown a couple of plot wrenches in there - added some thriller elements that would've given it some real kick. The current version was solid - don't get me wrong - but it could've been really good and they missed that opportunity. Anyway - acting was fine - nothing great but nobody was over the top or bad. Ed Norton and Liv Tyler have some chemistry but mainly due to Liv Tyler. Norton doesn't really sell those scenes but then he's playing a guy who has a tortured soul. The writing was decent - a few bad lines but nothing groan inducing. The only flat out bad part was the opening, which seemed really corny in comparison to the rest of the film. Anyway - overall pretty good. It's a much better launch for the franchise than the Bana version.

Get to the movie on time, because the back story will unfold during the opening credits. This works well since the story picks up with how Bruce Banner is dealing with his "problem" as he is on the run. This gives the viewer more opportunity to enjoy Edward Norton's portrayal of Bruce's inner conflict as well as getting to see more of the Hulk in action, which by the way is amazing! Lot's of fun. Bring ear plugs!

This movie suprised me. I know it had no relation to the last movie, but that one was so bad, it put a bad taste in my mouth. That made me skeptical, but my son had to go, and I was glad I took him, instead of his dad. Now he will see it twice, as dad is up next. I may even go along, as it was that good. Give this one a chance, don't base it off the last hulk movie, they are nothing alike. Go see this one, it will not dissapoint!

I didn't see the first one because the previews looked stupid. When I seen the previews for this one I was so excited. Ed Norton is really good but did't like Liv. It did have more story to it then action. I liked it because I can watch it with my 13 year old son and 10 year old daughter (if she wanted) and not worry about blood and guts all over the place. Hulk and Iron Man are great movies. Marvel has done a excellent job and can't wait for Batman!

I saw the first Hulk movie and wasn't impressed, so I wasn't looking forward to seeing this movie. But I'm glad I did. I like the fact that they didn't try to make a love story out of it, and didn't just fill the whole thing with clobbering action to pass the time. If you don't like movies that seem to be out there, then this isn't for you. But if you want to engage your imagination, it's a really good movie. My favorite part about the whole movie was the inner struggles that Edward Norton and other characters deal with throughout the film. It is portrayed in such a way that you know who is genuinely good and evil. The part I don't like is how much I was reminded of the King Kong movies. Overall, I think this is a great movie. Great script, great graphics (CGI really irritates me, and the graphics in this movie were expertly done so everything seemed real). I give it a 9 out of 10.

I thought this film was very good. Norton was excellent, as was Tyler. I could've done with a little more backstory, and not in flashback or as exposition, but, what is there is workable. The nods to the tv show were VERY cool, and made me smile. The plot was cohesive, unlike that of the previos flick in the vein. This film is well worth your time.

I was skeptical in going to watch this movie because of the bad taste the last movie left. Once i found out Marvel Studios was behind it and seen the success of the Iron Man movie, it was no question I was going to see a good movie. After seeing it, I felt like a little kid again, that just read the comic book. It really was the best Hulk movie to date, and I recommend it to everyone to watch. !!HULK SMASHHH!!

I did not go see the Ang Lee version of the Hulk so I am not able to compare the two. I did however, very much anticipate this film. I must say that the CGI in this film was very good. I was impressed. After Iron Man I was pretty confident that Marvel was not going to let a bad film out of the gates and I was not disappointed. The action sequences were great and there was just the right amount of love scenes. I don't go to see the Hulk so that I can see Banner make love to Betty. Hearing that there were difficulties on set and rewrites everyday by Ed Norton made me think that it was going to be so so. But it truly delivered. I was entertained for 2 hours and that is all that I can ask from a movie. The movie could have only been better had the person behind me not kicked my seat the whole film and someone else not taken there baby and 2 year old. I will most likely see this film again.

Overall, it was an entertaining movie, despite a few things that didn't make sense. Nice touch having Lou Ferrigno in a cameo, showing Bill Bixby on the television, and having the Incredible Hulk TV show theme song in part of the film.

I thought the movie was very good. I think the movie had a good mix of action and story line. I think the movie gave us a good preview of a possible future movie with iron man,hulk and others combinding for one big movie. I thought it was beeter then the hulk movie released about 5 years ago i believe.
