The Incredible Hulk was direct and to the point... a man, not gifted, but cursed with an ability no one was meant to have. A lot of action, inside jokes and a some good battle scenes. Short of 2 hours but fill the time nicely.

I'm not a comic book fan, but being the dutiful girlfriend I have seen many a comic book turned action hero movies.
Sadly, I saw the first Hulk movie which was horrible so I went into seeing the new Hulk movie on premier night with less than enthusiasm. But to my delighftul surprise, it was a great movie.
Much more action and hulk scenes than the first movie. Some good comedy and great chemistry between norton and tyler.
I also enjoyed the ending, the way the story of hulk was explained with out taking 2/3 of the movie to explain it. As a non-comic book reader I got the plot, understood how Hulk came to be and enjoyed all the action packed scenes.
It also has an AWESOME ending - don't need to stay 'til after the credits...there is no 'bonus' scene at the end.
Great movie - for both the comic book and non-comic book fans. Would buy it on DVD.

It was Okay - I think they got the Hulk wrong the first time by using animation. This one uses animation too, but better animation, but at the end of the movie - it's still just an animated Hulk. Sort of leaves the artificial sweetener taste in your mouth. And the fight scene at the end was good, but way too long - you get it, they're big and can do a lot of damage... Why are they so afraid of using a real human like the TV Show? People seemed to love Lou Ferigano. And they can use animation to morph them together. The promoted better than Iron Man - nope. At least he was mostly a real person, so the animation when he was flying around didn't bother anybody - and we still saw a real face inside the suit. Good things to say - the story line was good. And at least you didn't have 3 guys throughout the movie that sounded exactly alike with husky voices like the first one (Eric Bana, Nick Nolte, The General) Overall - Good 2nd attempt, but you still didn't do the Hulk justice, again.

Fantastic story filled with a ton of action. I was glad to see it didn't take an hour and a half this time to see Banner change. The special effects are incredible! (No Pun intended) The Hulk doesn't look like Shrek either! Word of advice to Universal and Marvel...Give Ed Norton whatever he wants! He did a great job and saved this franchise!

I am a huge fan of Ed Norton and really only went to the movie because of him. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that it was actually a great movie! The acting was great (Ed Norton and Liv Tyler were really good together) and the special effects were absolutely stunning! The story was much truer to the original comic and tv show than the one done back in 2003, and this is by far one of my favorite comic/superhero movies. I will definitely go see it again!

My family and I enjoyed this movie much better than the first one with Eric Bana and Jennifer Connely. I'd say this is one of the best Marvel movies thus far. Villans better than Spiderman movies' villans, Not as good as Ironman, same level as the X-mens, maybe a little bit better. The con - could have used more clever hulk action. I thought the "supermoves" (like the earthquake pounding) were a little cheezy, but not terribly. Pro - good story and entertaining mostly throughout.

Much better than I thought it would be. Not quite as good as Iron Man, but a fun time nonetheless. I think the best part of these films is how Marvel is laying the foundations for the Avengers, and how they're finally acknowledging that these heroes all populate the same universe (take note, DC/Warner Bros.). A solid cast, good CGI, fun action, character development without being too slow or introspective. Definitely worth a look.

I really enjoyed the new "Hulk" installment... The CGI was excellent!!! It reminded me of the old Hulk comic books, "HULK SMASH!!!" I liked both hulk movies, but have to give this one the lead... Marvel has continually improved their movies. Can't wait for The Avengers!

Finally the all of the intensity and rage that is the Incredible Hulk is in movie form. I have been a fan of the Hulk since the 70's even before the TV series and this is the best version I have seen. Ed Norton does a superb job as Bruce Banner. It is also great to see the Hulk as a super hero and not just a Frankenstein type creature on the run. If you are a looking for a life changing revelation, this is not your movie. But, if you are looking for an action packed movie where the Hulk gets mad and smashes his foe, look no further. Bravo!

Wasn't expecting a love story in the movie -- what a surprise!! Lots and lots of hot action scenes that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Especially enjoyed the various cameo appearances, my favorite of which was by Robert Downey Jr. Wasn't expecting the movie to be as good as it was and stayed through the credits hoping for some side shots. This movie was all I hoped for--I really enjoy Edward Norton's work, and he did not disappoint. Tim Roth has a great part--his portrayal of need when he wanted the rest of the dose was hilarious. The action isn't overdone, and the special effects are awesome. I really like how they're tying the Marvel Comics movies together--that is such a fun element. This movie was excellent. Edward Norton was perfect as Bruce Banner and the rest of the cast was top notch. The story is right out of the comic book but was handled with care. There are numerous homages to various previous iterations of the hulk, including the old tv show, that are fun to spot. The action scenes were directed with precision and were the most enjoyable part of the movie. So what are you waiting for. Go see it...now!

As interesting as it was to have Ang Lee try his hand at the Hulk, his art house approach to get into the deeper recesses of the Hulks psyche was far from what comic book heads everywhere were looking for when "Big Green" finally made it to the screen. They wanted one simple thing, to see "Hulk smash!" While it may never win Academy Awards for dialogue, comic book movies are about one thing first and foremost: having fun. The first was borderline depressing. This Hulk comes out swinging from the gate and never loses sight of the story that drove the tv series. Dr.Banner's search to control the beast within. This was fun from the get go, had great action, and was respectful to every comic book head in the audience by giving noted shout outs to the people that made the 70's series legendary. All in all, this was a much better go around for the Mean Green Machine.

Marvel studios continues their hot streak--The Hulk is not as good as Iron Man, but makes for a satifying companion piece. Edward Norton's portrayal of Bruce Banner, while not as flamboyant as Robert Downey, Jr., manages to capture the character's stoicism and inner turmoil, even with very few lines of actual dialogue. The director emphasizes his lean, zenlike form and plays on the quiet physicality of Bruce Banner in good contrast to the raging Hulk. I think Norton is smart to go this route in his career, if only to balance out some of the quirkier, non main-stream roles he's taken in the past, including Fight Club and the Painted Veil. As for the supporting actress, why do studios keep hiring Liv Tyler? She has a one note performance style and I don't even know what note she is playing - is she scared? sad? in love? hungry? She has one scene where she's angry in this film(involves a NYC cab), but it's over in about two seconds, and she back to being her doe-eyed self again. Norton actually has less chemistry with her than he does with a Brazilian factory worker girl he rescues early in the film. The brief homages to the original "Incredible Hulk" series that was on tv in the 1970s are great. There were a lot of chuckles in the audience the night we went, but the younger audience members probably won't pick up these references. While the CGI stuff was top-notch, one thing that was great about the original tv series is that the "Hulk" in that case was played by a real guy - Lou Ferrigno, who gave the Hulk a lot more, well, humanity than CGI is able to create. Overall, there are most all the necessary components in this movie for a fun summer blockbuster-type experience with great battle scenes, explosions, tense moments in a science lab, and a bit of comedy thrown in for good measure.

First off, it was great the way they tied in the movie with that of the Hulk t.v. series. Using the some of the music and similar plot, plus having a young college student named Jack McGee(also from the series ) was brilliant. It tied in the series with the effects of the previous movie. Dr. Samuel Sterns who tries to help Banner, inadvertanley is contaminated with Banners blood and you see his transformation starting to take place. True Hulk fans will know who he becomes, looks like a set up for Hulk-3' Overall it was a great movie with fantastic special effects and storyline to match"
