AWE SOME!!! Iron Man is THE movie of the year so far...at least until The Incredible Hulk comes out on June 13... The story line for Iron Man was very well done as even I didn't know that was how Iron Man got started.
Robert Downey, Jr. is perfect as Tony Stark! Some of the "cheesy" lines you usually see in movies just came off as hilarious here!! And when the action started, I was even more impressed than I thought I would be.
I will definitely buy the DVD when it comes out, and I might even have to make an extra trip or two to the big screen to see this one again, and again, and again.......

Went to see Iron Man last night. Robert Downey's performance was excellent. He was humorous and quite believable. The action sequences were amazing. Looking forward to Iron Man II.

I've been really looking forward to seeing this movie, as I am a big comics book fan. However, I had no idea the movie would be as good as it was. The cast was perfectly cast for this movie, the cinematics were amazing, and I especially loved all of the subtle references to different aspects of the Marvel Universe. Definitely see this movie, and make sure you stay till after the credits for an extra scene.

This movie was so much fun! I saw it with my 13-year-old son and we both loved it. I guessed that every woman in the audience was probably there because they like Robert Downey Jr (that's why I was there) but everyone there enjoyed it - kids, teenage boys, adults. The whole movie rocked.

Actor to Character mix was perfect; it seems that Downey was born for this part. It holds true to the comic book portrayal. Can’t wait to see where they take the next two.

Every aspect of this movie was brilliance from the casting, the soundtrack, the direction, the imagery and the story. AS a fan of Ironman the subtle twists from the original comic was done in such a way that it really brought some much needed story updates for today. It was a pleasure to watch from the opening credits all the way to the very end scene with Samuel L Jackson after the credits.
And Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, WOW, he did a phenomenal job portraying Tony in such a way that was all the reasons why I love Ironman and am forever a fan of Ironman.
Then there is Jon Favreau's attention to detail in his direction was truly amazing. He was able to capture the very humanity of Tony Starks evolution from War Monger to Super Hero, it made it a truly brilliant movie.

This is it for a comicbook movie. Great writing, great story, excellent acting, and lots of laughs. The action's great and what else can I say...20 or 30 years from now when we're looking back at the "Golden Age of Comicbooks in Film", this will be in the top five.

Robert Downey, Jr. is an amazing actor (when he shows up sober on the set). Clearly, he's learned how to do this, because Iron Man is some of his best work in years. He seemed to be genuinely having a fun time playing the role and that made it fun to watch.

This movie was very well done. It had the right amount of drama, comedy and action all blended together to create one heck of a ride. Some of the plot points were fairly obvious and occasionall you asked yourself, "Well, who didn't see that coming." This did not detract from the movie at all however. The action sequences were well done and the CGI wasn't "obvious".
I can't wait for the sequel.

This movie was excellent - very well done. The action didn't overshadow the drama, but the drama wasn't too heavy handed. Robert Downey Jr was amazing! He definitely made the movie. This was a great start to the summer movie season.

I took my son and his friend (both 11) and my husband to see IronMan. It was a hit all the way around. It truely has all aspects of a great movie....tons of action, drama, comedy.....even a little romance.

I enjoyed every aspect of this movie -the plot made sense, the characters were engaging, the action was exciting, the effects were impressive, the acting was fine - I read Ironman comics when I was a child... the movie is true to the concept of the story - if you like action films, GO SEE IT. Just don't drink a lot before, it's kind of long !

This movie is the best comic redo yet, even better than Spiderman! The special affects were very well done. Casting was great too!! The war seens might be a bit much for the younger kids, but my 11 yr old was able to understand it and seemed to be ok with it all. Great family movie!

Great movie I just saw with my 12 yr old son. We both loved it. I would not recommend taking children under 8 though due to some comic book style violence and minor nudity.
That being said, the special effects were sweet, and the story made sense and was easily followed. The chemistry between Paltrow and Downey was really interesting. It was definitely better than the latest Fantastic Four movie, and I would go as far as to say it was better than Spiderman 3.

Great movie for kids and adults. We took our boys to see Iron Man when it first opened, as the boys would say "Plenty of action without any mushy love scenes messing it up." The characters in the movie are fully rounded with tons of great high tech gadgets and life styles. If you like James Bond and Batman wait till you see what type of high tech gadgets Tony Stararks creates! This movie also has comedy and drama, what else could you ask for.

Marvel’s participation in this made the movie. It’s fast paced and the characters are deep with Stark being a likeable rogue that does not get spoiled by the suit. Some interesting turns and script make it just as much a thriller as an action movie

Being a comic-book fan myself, I look forward to each comic-to-screen adaptation. Unlike Ghost Rider, this wasn't a let down. This is definately one of those films you'll be happy you saw.. Granted it's not on an epic scale like say 300.. but you won't be disappointed. Oh, once more thing.. stay through the credits..there's a little something extra after...Nice teaser of things to come....

We went opening night and it was awesome!!! Downey Jr., Paltrow and Terrance Howard were perfectly cast. This movie had everything - comedy, drama, real romance (Paltrow & Downey). I couldn't believe it was over 2 hours long because the time just seemed to fly due to the action and comedy. Don't miss it! Too long of a wait for video. Definitely worth the money.

I've never picked up a Iron Man comic so everything was new to me. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this movie is. From early trailers I thought it might be cheesy or that the main character would be cocky/annoying. To my surprise everything clicked very, well. Robert Downey Jr and Gweneth Paltrow has a very good chemistry, and Jeff bridges was great.

Wonderful job. Cast was great, and they were obviously having fun with this. They captured the essential Iron Man. Every iron Man comic had a scene where he risks it all to save some innocent bystanders - invariably holding up a car, plane or train full of people while his energy drains - it was here! Just the right amount of campiness. Very fun movie.

At first I was hesitant that a superhero movie would star a not-so-young actor. After the first minute, I realized not only was it an advantage that Robert Downey Jr. was chosen to play Tony Star, it was decidedly fortunate all the other stars were top drawer: Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges and Terrence Howard. They brought depth and soul to their characters. The story was brilliant and well directed, filled with humor, twists and human drama... again enhanced by the excellent acting of the main characters. If I have a complaint, there was just a smidgen too many outlines and drillings and putting together of Ironman than were needed. Still, ultimately, it added to the realistic flavor of the movie. A superb piece of filmmaking.
