As someone who had no clue what the movie was about but just following my kids into see Iron Man, I was thoroughly entertained. Instead of one of those movies filled to the brim with action packed sequences and no real plot...this one had a balance of both by focusing on the character of Tony Stark and his development. It had humor, fun, and it was a good time at the movies. Which is why I go!! I rate it a go see movie.

Overall awesome flick. A word of caution to parents for a brief scene of sensuality early in the movie and one instance of profanity (s.o.b.). I personally don't mind the war violence but it is kept to a minimum and is not very graphic when it does occur. The movie has a great pace and two hours just flies by. Aside from these things the movie really is pretty cool.

This movie was full of action and intrigue with a plotline that had no holes. Great character interaction and even bit part reporter was included in most of movie. Would reccomend you go see this one.

Ironman was full of action suspense and just plain fun. I took my eight year old who was so mesmerized he didn't even finish his popcorn!!
I can't wait for the dvd to come out so we can watch it over and over. Looking foward to Ironman 2.

I'm not an Iron Man fan, but after reading the Iron Man Bio on Wikipedia...I'd say they were very faithful. Robert Downey Jr was perfect and for that matter the rest of the cast worked very well. Nicely paced and very very funny. I have teenage boys and could have done without the very suggestive content in the beginning, we get it, he's a playboy. All in all, an excellent comic book adaptation. Definitely the best comic-turned movie since Spiderman.

After seeing every movie based on a Marvel character I am very pleased with Iron Man. I love it when the movie stays pretty close to the comic. Loved all the characters and the promise of a sequel is in the air. There should be one based on the Fantastic Four theory. The movie made money lets do a sequel. Looking forward to the next installment.

I am a huge Robert Downy Jr. fan anyway and I thought his performance was top notch. I also thought Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow were great. This movie could easily have been three hours long and I would have sat right there. I enjoyed the storyline, and the action and computer graphics were stellar. I will buy this one.

Excellent and outstanding would be good words to use for this film - only they'd be understating how awesome it is!
Go see this movie!
Everything came together for this film. The production values are outstanding. The screenplay is exceptionally well done. The plot is flawless. The acting - from all the cast - is excellent. Favreau's direction is superb and clearly shows his love for the character and the genre.
And then there's Downey.
Mr. Downey nails it. Perfectly. His rendering of Tony Stark on screen brings the character to life in a way no previous incarnation has yet managed. Downey made this film with that and he burned up the screen with every scene he was in.
This film is what they mean by the word: Entertainment!

I've seen close to every superhero movie ever made, and this one is right up there with the best. The acting is great and the 2 hours and 6 min is just the right length. Any fan of action or superhero movies should definitely check out Iron Man.

This is a great movie..worth every penny and one of those movies you'd definetely watch over and over again...I went to see it with my husband on Friday, will probably see it Sat nite with friends.... Great job creating a very entertaining interpretation of an old comic book story. This movie isn't just for comic book fans either. The technology sequences were a little hard to stomach, but the cinematography and action mixed together with witty humor made those elements almost disappear. Highly recommended.

One of the three best - if not the best - super hero movies ever made. Favreau has hit his stride as a director and R Downey was an inspired choice for the role of Tony Stark. i went to see Iron Man yesterday night and i thought that it was a very good film. the movie started out a little slow but by the 2nd hour of the film there was lots of action and excitment and some twists and turns in the story line that help to make for an excellent movie. i believe that if you go see this movie that you will definately enjoy the movie for what it was...and thats a well casted, well scripted adaptation of one of the lesser known super heros of the comic world...definately take the whole family to see it and you will all have a great time.

The movie's plot showed how Tony Stark became who he is,and how he became Iron Man. It showed how,regardless of your status in life,you can experience life-altering events that can make you better person. I think it is safe to say,another movie will be in the works.If so, Iron Man can start to fight his villains like Mandarin,Yellow Claw,The Melter,The Mole Man,etc..The scene where Terence Howard looked at "Gold Iron Man suit",and said "Next Time",may be door opener for next movie.
