This is a great movie. I've never heard of Ironman or read any of the comics before, but the movie was good in its own right. The action was well done and it set itself up for an awesome sequel. A must see!

This movie was excellent. It was a great adaptation of the comic book while bringing only the innovation that the big screen can to such a classic Marvel character. Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark is dead on and Gwyneth makes an excellent Pepper. Downey's range is amazing in this movie. I'm so happy to see this excellent actor back on his feet and doing his best work yet. I can't wait for the sequel - and you know Marvel will roll one out.

I saw the movie at the AMC Theater in Downtown Chgo last night and I must say that my boyfriend and I were truly amazed. The movie followed the comic book perfectly!!! And chosing Robert Downey Jr. to play Iron Man was the best decision ever.. I've been waiting to see this movie for a long time and I'm already looking forward to Iron Man II.... This is a MUST SEE movie...

This is probably the best movie of it's genre I have ever seen. Knowing almost nothing of the comic, I followed the story easily, and could still see where it followed the origonal plot. Fast, action packed, and just plain fun!

I just saw this movie with a lot of friends at Penn Cinema and it was an awesome action movie. The fact that we saw it on a digital projector made the special effects seem even more real. The movie had an amazing rock sound track too. There were a few tiny glitches in the plot that you had to let slide, but aren't there always! Over a very good, special effects filled, action movie.

If your a comic fan this movie stays pretty close with only a few exceptions. This movie is exciting from beginning to end. It has some witty lines also. Go see it and you won't be dissapointed.

With all the hype I went into this needing to be blown away, and I was not disappointed. Robert Downey Jr is perfect for this role and should never need to read for another part - it's FRANCHISE good. Add to that a refreshingly uncomplicated plot(especially for a superhero movie) and eye-popping special effects - CGI does great with metal and flat surfaces and they used enough prosthetics and real props to give the suit extraordinary believability. It's smart without sacrificing a second of fun, and enlightened without being preachy which is more than plenty of plot-intensive art films can manage. I'll be seeing it more than once.

Being a long time comic book fan of the Iron Man series I have to say I was impressed with this movie. The look and feel of this movie makes it fun, interesting and realistic. The acting was good and special effects that are top notch by today's standards. Anyone who loves mobile suit robot anime will enjoy this movie as well. Robert Downey Jr. is a good fit for the new cocky Tony Stark. In the comics of years ago he was a more savvy high class gentleman. Today's Tony is much like that with a sarcastic and quick witted personality. Very cool cause Downey pulls it off well. He is to Iron Man what Toby M. is to Spiderman. A perfect match. Way to go Stan!

The movie rocked. The proper amount of time was spent setting up the characters. Each actor was perfect for the role, especially Jeff Bridges. Use the bathroom before the movie. You won't want to miss anything.

My family and I went to opening night and we were not disappointed. Lots of laughs and very limited s** and violence. Better than James Bond! Somewhat predictable, yet a great night out! Enjoy it!

Though I'm not familiar with any of the Iron Man comics, this movie did an excellent job of introducing the characters. The plot was well thought out and well delivered. The casting was excellent. I enjoyed this movie and suspect that many others will as well.

Loved it Loved It Loved It, I have been a Marvel Comic Fan since I was a Wee Boy.
This Movie has action from start to finish, It didn't even feel like it was a 2 hour movie, I left wanting more. I could have stayed and watched for another 2 hours. Highly recommend it. Even my wife stated that when it comes out on DVD she was going to buy it. And thats saying a lot coming from someone that is a Reality show fanatic by heart.

This was better than expected, a definate must see! The superhero Ironman (Downney Jr.) is at his best. Although he starts out as an immoral, arrogant jerk he finally shows (ironically) his true heart This movie has action, romance and comedy. I can't wait to see the sequel.

Iron Man is a pretty good superhero film; that being said it employs similar plot and character lines as most and because of that is somewhat predictable.
For me Robert Downey Jr. makes this movie, as he does with most of the films he's in. If you go see it for him alone you'll be entertained. This is Hollywood entertainment, that's it. Don't expect it to be more than it is

I promised my Boyfriend when we went to see a different movie and saw the preview for Iron Man that I would take him the day it premiered. I do not follow comic books and honestly had never heard of Iron man, only Spider man, and Batman. To my surprise this movie instantly caught my interest. The plot line was great, I'm sorry to say that I asked my boyfriend a few questions throughout the movie just to make sure the plot was similar to the comic he has read growing up as a child. I got a kick out of Stan Lee appearing in the film like he did in Spider Man. All in all I would definately give this 2 thumbs up. < and I normally hate going to the movies.> Can't wait for the second one, many people in the theater were filling me in on what maybe to expect. CHECK IT OUT

Robert Downey was suprisingly well fitted for this movie. There was something about his persona that blended very well into the character of Tony Stark.
The comical ( and sometimes slapstick ) moments in the film threw a good twist into the movie.
Undoubtedly, the special effects were not lacking in this movie as with the other Marvel movies that I have seen.
Of course, my two sons were completely awe-struck. They're 12.

I believe this is the first marvel comic movie to truly dazzle me. Don't get me wrong. I am a spiderman fan, and I like the newest Batman movie franchize, but this was a complete surprise. From the plot to the acting, to the characters, "Ironman" is like a down-to-earth Batman meets double-o seven James Bond! I can't want for the next one, and the next one, and the next one...
The next day after I saw the movie I found myself wanting to go see it again.
Remember to stick around for the surprise ending (or shall we say beginning?) after the credits!

If you haven't seen, this gets the highest recommendation - absolutely go check it out. Start to finish, one the most entertaining films I've ever seen. Robert Downey Jr. owns every second he's on the screen. Superheroes are supposed to be larger than life and he makes Tony Stark/Iron Man completely believable and a joy to watch. The film's not without its faults but they're minor and I'd say no question one of the top 5 superhero films made. In no particular order - Batman Begins, Spiderman, X-Men 2, Superman and Iron Man.
