Here is a movie that takes a depressing and dismal situation and brings it to an action packed level of explosive fights. To escape one's reality by using the mind and turning that reality into an amazing alternate reality is what this is all about. I was impressed with the way this story was told and the CGI for once made a difference. It added to the parts where Baby doll's mind goes into her alternate reality and battle mode. And these scenes were visually exciting. The remix of musical scores was done wonderfully to fit the fighting scenes. I am not going to spill the beans on any of this movie for people who have not yet seen it so I will just say enjoy the movie and watch for the ending. It leaves a lot for you to figure out.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Because that is all I can really say about this movie. There comes a time where movie goers have seen so many movies that you feel you have seen it all. This is my case when it comes to "I am Number Four". Nothing new here and it takes awhile to get anything going. I admit I was bored as this could had been a TV movie of the week. A bad TV movie of the week. Corny Aliens in leather coats, bad CGI and a story that makes the viewer just not care at all. And they leave it as if there is supposed to be a sequel. I am Number 5 maybe? I hope not.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I went to see this film in the IMAX theatre and it was a great experience. Crystal clear picture and the best 3D I have seen to date. Nothing like sitting in the front row smack dab in the middle so you can truly get into the movie. The storyline was good but missed a few things. This movie is truly not about Tron at all. In fact he is in it very little and usually with a helmet on. At first did not realize it was Tron until later in the movie. Clue is now a reflection of Flynn and I did enjoy how they made Clue look like the Flynn of the first Tron. This movie is about Flynn, the creator. And why not? He is the creator and he has been missing for sometime in the plot. Why? When? Where? and How? is really what you focus on more so. And when these answers do come during the movie it is ok. Not thrilling mind you after all of these years but ok. The movie still works. I would had given the movie a ten if the story had a bit more meat to it.
Being a long time comic book fan of the Iron Man series I have to say I was impressed with this movie. The look and feel of this movie makes it fun, interesting and realistic. The acting was good and special effects that are top notch by today's standards. Anyone who loves mobile suit robot anime will enjoy this movie as well. Robert Downey Jr. is a good fit for the new cocky Tony Stark. In the comics of years ago he was a more savvy high class gentleman. Today's Tony is much like that with a sarcastic and quick witted personality. Very cool cause Downey pulls it off well. He is to Iron Man what Toby M. is to Spiderman. A perfect match. Way to go Stan!
