Good action movie...My husband and my kids enjoy it. It has action and comedy not to mention that the movie was well-written. Wouldn't mind going to see it a second time. Hope there is a second one coming out soon!

This movie was fantastic. RD Jr. was a perfect choice, as no one else can play the cad everyone loves to cheer to perfection. Gwenyth Paltrow was superb as the passive/agressive right hand person to Tony Stark's oft inconsiderate but well meaning boss.
The action is sharp, the effects are sweet, and story is engrossing.

I had nearly lost hope that they could still make great movies. I was blown away by this one, it had everything! Comedy, drama, action, stunts and a bit of romance. I absolutely loved it, can't wait for the next one! HE IS IRONMAN! Who says 40 something is old? He's HOT!

Robert Downey Jr. cleaned up his life and kicked a*s with this movie!!! My husband wanted to see it, so I took him expecting to fall asleep ... I was completely wowed and completely into it. It doesn't just appeal to the guys who read the comics, it will appeal to women too, even if you don't have a mad crush on Downey. I highly recommend seeing this. It's a little over 2 hours, but it FLIES by!!!

Really good movie. We will see it again. My older son told me in the middle of the movie that he can't wait for the dvd to come out. It was a little violent at times. My six year old son was the one who wanted to see it the most, he had been collecting the Burger King toys for a while and seeing all the commercials. Yet, it was at times a little intense for his age group. But, overall the whole family loved it.

Ok. I saw the previews and thought to myself. I have been going to the movies since the 70s and I have always seen the best parts of the movie in the trailers.
Well this movie is non stop action. I only see a few good movies a year and this one is right up there. The only thing that disappointed me about the whole experience was the kids at the theater, what are parents thinking?
Its PG-13 regardless of parental guidance. You do not bring a 4 and a 5 year old to go see this. The little girl sitting next to me said to her mom "mom did that guy die"? too young to see that stuff. Get a clue parents!!
The movie though excellent!!!!!!!

Not being much of a comic book follower, I had a total outside perspective on the story and characters. It has a great mixture of action, comedy, and fantasy. It makes us all wish we were some sort of super genius that can create something to save the world. I especially loved how Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) has such a big ego, yet has a very sarcastic and interesting sense of humor.

The Movie was great!!! Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect Iron Man. It truely is a great movie if you enjoy gadgets. Iron Man blows batman away when it comes to the gadgets. I can't wait for Iron Man 2 (2010) or so I've read. And for all the true comic book fans, don't forget to stay after the credits!

As the plot unfolded I was impressed with the detail involved with the terrorist plot and capture of Tony Stark, and with todays issues it made sense as well as "Iron Man" and the technology required to make him real. They touched on some details that in the real world you may wonder about such as Tony Starks ability to control such a high tech super suit and flying, and although it had a few areas where it moved slowly and the plot got stifled or slowed down due to details, it worked out fine and Robert Downey Jr was awesome as Tony 'Stark, the millionaire Super Hero (if I ever do a stand up routine I want to remember some of the one-liners), all this and the finest "RedHead" I've ever seen (and redheads are my weakness) . This was obviously the introduction of Iron Man to the Silver Screen and they kept Him the Marvel Comics character we know and love. It's begging for a Sequel, and.....I can't wait for the sequel!

This movie is awesome, possibly the best comic adaptation made ever. The story is a perfect balance of character history, dvelopment and action. The suit looks killer, and seeing the test of the different revisions is great. I was not interested in this movie when I first heard about it last year, but went to see it anyways. I was pleasantly surprised to see one of the best movies in a while on the big screen. Even if you don't like comics, or are unfamiliar with Iron Man, go see it, this is a great flick for anyone who likes movies.

Excellent acting by Robert Downey, Jr. As a Senior I wasn't expecting to enjoy this movie, but I took my grandson and it ended up being so good and was very well done.
An exicting, adventourous movie. I think everyone over the age of 13 should see it.

I would give this a solid 4 stars. The only downside I thought was a) the lack of explaining why the villian did what he did, b) a little too much time testing the suit and what not. c) they needed one more Ironman kicks booty battle scene before the final throw down.
Otherwise probably the best comic book movie adaption too date. Definately worth a watch and a rewatch

This Movie lives up to the hype! I was shocked that the theater was not packed to the gills! The surround sound shook my seat! My son was so excited to turn 13 just one day before this movie broke - I don't normally like this genre of movie but I was pleasantly shocked, amazed, and kept on the edge of my seat!!

there has been alot of super heroe movies that hit or miss, this is one of those hits, it is up there with the original Batman, Superman or Spiderman, this will bring in a new movie franchise, one i will be willing to watch and even add to my DVD collection, this movie was written great with no lag time in any part of the movie, action sequences were fantastic, it all just fit the way it should have, this gives great omage to the original comic book, definately two thumbs up!!

Robert Downey Jr. is back with a vengeance! Favreau/Downey is an unbeatable combo. Very well done, excellent fx and the movie tempo just rocks! I would definitely recommend this flick to all marvel fans and anyone who thinks it's nice when you pay $20 to see a show and it really ENTERTAINS you!!

"Iron Man is a very well-written and well-planned action movie. The movie makes the characters fun and understandable to everyone (not just us comic fans). There's excitement, cool visuals and a lot of really genuinely funny moments that drive this movie.
Robert Downey, Jr. really comes through in his performance. Whether you're an Iron Man fan or a fan of Robert Downey, Jr., you'll really love his portrayal of billionaire playboy Tony Stark. I do not to want to leave out Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow who both did a great job as well. Gwyneth, if you read this you never looked better!
I don't know what else to really say without talking about the plot or secrets or anything, so I'll just say few things: First, just go see it because you shouldn't be disappointed. Second, The device in his chest made no medical or even common sense (the weakest part of the writing). Finely, if you're a fan of Marvel Comics, make sure you stick around until the end of the credits!

I loved this movie! I will admit that I had my doubts about Robert Downey Jr. as an action/super hero... but this movie was fantastic! I enjoyed the buildup to the huge end fight, and loved the bits of humor scattered throughout the movie. I also loved having a superhero that wasn't a kid! Tony Stark is a grown up, mostly, and not some teenager who doesn't think bad things can happen to him.
PS- Stay through the credits... you won't regret it!

I took my twin boys who are 8 to see the movie. We all really liked the movie but agreed that it was a little to extreme with the violence especially the terrorist scenes. I would recommend that anyone who has children younger than 10 to maybe wait till it comes out on pay per view or cable to see it. Other than that we enjoyed the movie and think that Robert Downey Jr is amazing.
