As always the "Ice Age" series gives an entertaining and enjoyable encounter. like most other attempts to regain the thunder of the original it reaches a bit but only in a couple of moments with the twists in the plot...this one recovers nicely from a couple of dull areas and the finish is funny and absolutely gratifying. It is worth buying the DVD when avvailable to watch over and over, I know I will.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Nice piece for Eddie Murphy and the young lady playing his daughter was awesome. When the plot got to where it was going it shined but took way too long in dialog to get there....a bit much for my 9 year old daughter to sit thru without telling me she was bored.and she is easily pleased. I liked it and it is fine for an adult to sit thru but again slow in developing...(too much Wall Street) never the less a good flik and a wonderful ending.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Steve Martin at his best

I usually dont care much for Steve Martin's style of humor...at best silly and uninspiring to me personally. But this is by far an unexpected treat, he ws brilliant in the role of the bumbling French Detective and couldn't have picked a better baffoon to play it. The script was brilliant as well, from absolute outrageous scenes to subtle and intelligent dialog between himself and Lilly Tomlin..."GREAT" stuff. I though it passed my daughter by bit it didnt, she loved it too and I just may buy the DVD when available. (To say this wasnt a fun movie is like totally unacceptable to me,.it was really great)
Yes, I recommend this movie.

If a flick with the small amount of dialog as this had and the need to interpret digital voice can hold the interest of an 8 year old girl and have bothy myself and her laffing, it's done it's job. The movie was well thought out with a story line that never got old....not too much suspense but enough to hold your attention and the characters were both believeable and real within the plot...I'd see this one again and definetely going to buy the DVD when it's available.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

With the exception that the face of the "Hulk" is still way to "Pretty" for the old and dare I say Ugly master of mayhem,...(and the doo is a bit too stylish as well) this is the best rendition of the Hulk yet....(the TV version was a joke, altho Ferigno saved face in this one,......and the first movie had great effects but compared to this, well,.......) anyway, the story line is very much like the original comic strip would have had it and the characters were absolutely on target...but best of all was the surprize ending......and if you havn't seen it I won't give it away,...I'll just say I am on the edge of my seat waiting to hear about the sequel....if the end of this one was any indication,..we're in for a real treeat when it comes out. (I am dying to know who he meant by "We" ...your gonna have to see this flick to find out what I mean)
Yes, I recommend this movie.

As the title suggests is was a very good flick, funny and kept the attention of my 8 year old daughter and myself.. Great animation, terrific story line and plot and some very funn y side bar activity...such as the bit with the star of the movie being a "Noodle Chef" and the twist that the noodle thing leads the Hero to the enlightenment of the story.....very clever.
This is a movie I am sure can be enjoyed by everyone in the family...I'll buy it when it comes on DVD as well so I can watch it when I like in the future.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Looking back on the "Original" animated series, it was a well done real life (with actual Humans) and now computer assist and very entertaining...that is if you can relate to the fact that somehow a "racecar and it's driver" were somhow going to change the world......I was entertained by it then, but still didn't "get it" but I watched it anyway,..that typical Japanese cartoon with the big eyed characters and the dubbed mouth action.....it was cool.....and my 8 year old daughter was riveted...wouldn't even get up to go to the bathroom.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Iron Man, very kool

As the plot unfolded I was impressed with the detail involved with the terrorist plot and capture of Tony Stark, and with todays issues it made sense as well as "Iron Man" and the technology required to make him real. They touched on some details that in the real world you may wonder about such as Tony Starks ability to control such a high tech super suit and flying, and although it had a few areas where it moved slowly and the plot got stifled or slowed down due to details, it worked out fine and Robert Downey Jr was awesome as Tony 'Stark, the millionaire Super Hero (if I ever do a stand up routine I want to remember some of the one-liners), all this and the finest "RedHead" I've ever seen (and redheads are my weakness) . This was obviously the introduction of Iron Man to the Silver Screen and they kept Him the Marvel Comics character we know and love. It's begging for a Sequel, and.....I can't wait for the sequel!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
