Thumbs UP! 5 stars! However you say it this movie was great. I knew little about Ironman but this movie catches you up very quickly. I really enjoyed it. There are some really quick wittted comments and moments that don't dumb down the movie. I was interested throughout and am anxious to see the next installment. I hope they continue with the same cast and directors. Continuity will be important for this movie. Will get the DVD when released.

Have to admit, I wasn't sold to beign with, but I was talked into going to see Iron Man and it was frikin great!! Even if you're not a comic book fan this movie was fantastic.

This has been the only movie I have seen from Marvel Productions. I mainly wanted to see it because of Robert Downey Jr. have loved his acting from the beginning. The whole ensemble worked together so well. Looking forward to the sequel. There will be one, right?

IRON MAN was great family entertainment. The entire theatre was filled from top to bottom, which is the first indication that the movie is going to be good and that it got good reviews.
From start to finish, this movie was exciting, innovative, suspenseful and intriguing as the plot unfolded. The cast were all perfectly suited for their roles and there wasn't a minute that went by without each of us sitting on the edge of our seats wanting more. If all the summer blockbusters are this good, we're in for a great season. I can't wait to see an IRON MAN sequel. Thank the producers and directors finally for a great film to watch. I'm so glad to see Robert Downey, Jr. got his act together. He played his part extremely well, and as he says in the closing, he is IRON MAN.

I never go to shows on opening weekend, due to crowds. I did this time and was happy I did, the best movie that I have seen in a while. RDJ was incredible, the movie keept you watching and when it ended you just craved more! There better be a sequel!

Iron man is a great movie, Robert Downey Jr. is phenomenal as Tony Stark, the movie is action packed with a very deep story line. Marvel did a great job with Iron Man, the only thing I wish they had done differently is the role of Jim Rhodes. I'm just not a big fan of Terrence Howard, and his acting felt sub par for a movie of this caliber.
Also, ** THERE IS A SCENE AFTER THE CREDITS. **

One of the best Comic Book to Movie adaptations to hit the big screen...even if you do not know Iron Man, or his nemesis or the organizations in the Marvel Universe....this movie is a must see....as even the non comic book lovers will enjoy the wonderful acting, and sometimes humorous moments in this film.

First I'd like to say that this movie will be the first movie I will EVER have seen in theaters more than once on its' original run.
Iron Man is my favorite all-time comic book character, and I have been waiting for about 4 years since the original announcement that this movie was coming out, and the rewrites and reworks were definitely worth the wait, because this movie did not disappoint me at all. I would've liked some extra scenes of Iron Man flat out kicking butt, but I understand that time had to be spent on the back story and building the mythos of Tony Stark.
The movie does everything that it had to do to set up a long and successful Iron Man series, not to mention the beginning of the build-up to an Avengers movie. It followed the comics close enough that someone who has read all 500+ Iron Man titles was pleased, while being an original enough story to stand on its' own.
My wife, who rolls her eyes every time I mention anything comic book related, also loved this movie. You definitely don't have to be a comic geek to enjoy and appreciate the Iron Man movie. It was so well done that I truly believe that this is a movie that every person in the known universe can watch and enjoy. The cast and crew have all signed on for multiple Iron Man movies, so to Jon Favreau and gang, I say; thank you and bring on the sequels!

This was a good movie. As a Comic based movie it of course has a hero and a villian. The hero(Iron Man) does not have a large part in the film. The majority of the movie is about the alternate identity of the hero(Tony Stark). This is a good movie for kids above thirteen due to some suggestive materials. Overall I would recommend for comic buffs or Sci-Fi movie lovers.

Who would have thought? RD, Jr? But it worked and worked well. What superhero/action/adventure movies should be: Not too much chick stuff, explosions, decent body count, gratuitous but not pornographic suggestive content. Not really for young kids - PG13 is just about right, unless you don't mind bunking with your kids for a while.

I have to say, Its been a while since I have seen a Great Super Heroe Movie. The Roles in the movie were clearly Defined (hero, and Villain) and the story Line was Pretty Close to the Original.
It had Pleny of action, Character Development from the Playboy life the the Hero persona, and it was FUNNY!!!!!!!!
I really Loved Robert in the Role, I will go see it again. Dont Wait RuN...You should too. Iron man sets a standard for Graphics, characters, Action and a new Bar for Superhero move Development. (BETTER THEN SPIDERMAN)

Downey's the best actor to ever appear in a superhero movie, and seeing him in the same frame as Jeff Bridges was worth the price of admission. But as my 12-year-old son said -- "not enough fighting." All the sequences with Tony S. as Iron Man were pretty cool (my son especially liked when IM kicked butt in the Middle East), but the story was pretty basic at best. More twists and turns in the sequel please. Less romance (or go for it) and more character conflict for Tony Stark after he's revealed to the world that he's Iron Man.
