I was going to drop my son and his friends off in this theater and go see a different movie. Normally I don't like the same movies as they do. I'm so glad I went to this one instead. The special effects were great, loved all the characters. (It took a minute to recognize Jeff Bridges!). It was exciting, humorous, and just good, clean fun.

I loved this movie. Hands down...best comic book movie so far. Better than Spiderman and Batman. Downey, Jr. was awesome...and not just some teenager learning to deal with new powers. He is an adult who realizes that actions have consequences.
the effects were great and lots of humor.
Highly recommended....now let's see what Indy has in store for us.

Great action, great effects, Downey did an excellent job of creating a believable character (given, of course, that it's a character based on a comic book superhero!). The degree to which disbelief had to be suspended was very acceptable (again, given what it is). This was by far the best $11 I've spent at the movies in quite a while. See it!

The best of the superhero movies, and I've seen them all. This one is far and away better than everything else going. Downey Jr. is perfect, and Paltrow is sexy as can be. You have to see it.

I really enjoyed seeing this movie with my husband, and I was pleasantly surprised at the level of writing and acting. The lead actor and director are unexpected choices, but they work amazingly well. Who would have thought Robert Downey, Jr. would make the perfect Tony Stark??? The movie was fun, action-packed, funny, sarcastic, and had a lot of heart. It is well worth your entertainment dollar.

sometimes with Marvel Movies it's hit or miss, well, this is a hit.....It was terrific from beginning til end....Lot's of action, lot's of laughs, and lot's of fun. Enjoyed it a lot. I took my youngest and her best friend. Theater was packed, first show the day after if opened. A wild ride. No one left their seats and the audience clapped when Iron Man took out the tank......the same scene we've seen a thousand times in the ads, but still very very cool. A must see summer flick.

I think the movie was ok but was not as good as spiderman! I think Stan Lee has done a great job in writing and creating the marvel heros and bring them back! I grow up watching and reading them! Spiderman is still number#1 and it will be very hard to top that!!!!! Thank You!

From it's opening moments, you could tell this film was going to deliver exactly what it promised. Downey, Howard and Paltrow were evenly matched. The villians were appropriately nasty. The only clinker was that Bridges' talent was sort of wasted in this film. I still recommend it to anyone who grew up with Marvel comics or didn't.

I took my 12 yr. old nephew to see this film and we both LOVED it. Robert Downey, Jr. is incredible and proves to be one of the best actors around. The music was great, too. Everything about this film was fantastic!

Robert Downey Jr delivered! I was somewhat skeptical when I first heard he was playing the superhero, but he did a good job. Jeff Bridges was wonderful as the unsuspecting bad guy. The chemistry between Downey Jr's and Paltrow's character was good, you could feel the tension. I would pay to see this again.

I was a bit hesitant at having Robert Downey Jr. as a superhero, but now I'm convinced. It had fun, action and laughs. Robert pumped up nice for the part, and was a good combination of charming playboy and serious superhero. I hope there's another one.

Better than expected. I was afraid the previews showed most of the movie, but there was plenty left to see. Great acting- Downey and Bridges really pulled it together with top notch performances. The plot moved the movie forward well. Stay until after the credits. Well worth seeing- a fun movie for the whole family.

Great acting!! Great effects!! For once, one wasn't sacrificed to the other. My one criticism is Tony's romp with the Vanity Fair reporter to establish his "playboy" ways. That was a bit unnecessary. Otherwise, what a great movie. Favreau scores!!!! Genius casting of Robert Downey, Jr.

This movie is worth every penny, I'm not a Marvel fan, so I do not know how accurate it was with the comics, but the 15 friends that I went with that are, did not complain. And if your a fan, make sure you stay till after the credits for a nice surprise. The movie is full of humor, action and suspense with superb acting by actors not stars. It's a great film to kick off the summer, which will end with the greatest Superhero film of all time... The Dark Knight July 18th.

I have to say Robert Downey Jr. really bring so much to the character. Probably the best acting job in film based on a Comic Book. I have to give much respect to Jon Favreau for really letting the talent of the actors happen on screen. It really did work.
Yeah the action is really fun too.
Can't wait for the sequel.......oh yeah and stay until the end of the credits, the last scene is worth it.
