Iron Man exceded my expectations. I am usually not a big fan of the first Super hero movies. They spend to much time on character development. They kept this interesting, having some action and comedy all the way through the character development. I throughly enjoyed it and can't wait for them to make a sequal. (forgive my misspelling, it's not my strong suit)

Simply put, this is a great movie from start to finish. Everything worked: the cast, the story, the special and visual effects. Perhaps the greatest thing about this movie is Robert Downey Jr. who was an inspired choice to play Tony Stark/Iron Man. I'm already looking forward to Iron Man 2. A must see.

Robert Downey Jr. is classic, great as usual sassy demeanor combined with awesome robotics and action packed scenes. I took my 6 year old and he never took his eyes off the screen. We loved it!

This movie is what action comedies are supposed to be like! The characters --- you really saw them as who they portrayed. It wasn't "Oh, look, Downey, Jr is playing a superhero" it was "Tony Starks is Ironman? No way!" I loved the graphics, the emotion, the situations --- perfect! Much like Transformers in that!

I don't go to many movies now days, but something told me this one I shouldn't miss on the big screen. Clever plot, and killer CG effects. Robert Downy and Jeff Bridges are well cast in this movie, but Gwyneth Paltrow, made my tounge hit the floor in every scene. She gets better looking everytime I see her in a movie. She is smoking in this movie. The action is worthy of the ticket price alone. Where can I get one of those Iron Man suits!

Just like with all the other super hero or old series remake movies now a days, I was extremely excited and apprehensive about Iron Man. would it be a movie worthy of the memories i have of the series, or would it be so hollywoodised it would make me puke? Lucky for me it was the former. It was fun, exciting, and action packed. I loved it. And wold see itmultiple times.

Faithful adaptation of one of the classic Avengers. Robert Downey Jr. is perfect as Stark and makes you believe the character. Other than one or two times Paltrow is right on as well with his assistant, Pepper Potts. Bridges is a great bad guy, but I'm excited to see what the future will hold. Avengers Assemble!

I am an old Marvel comic fan from way back, so "Iron Man" was a film I looked forward to with great anticipation. The primary factor that makes this film work is casting Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, the millionaire industrialist/engineer/playboy. Downey provides a realistic character to balance the effects-driven action sequences, and his well-documented personal issues make his interpretation of Stark that much more believable.
The aforementioned effects are created by master fx studio ILM, and are top-notch indeed. Stark's Iron Man suit is truly a technological marvel (no pun intended); throw in the fact that the U.S. military is actually working on technology that is very similar to what is shown in the film (sans flying capability), and you have something that is not outside the realm of reality.
The plot line of "Iron Man" is one of transformation: Stark starts out as a self-absorbed materialist, but events change both his physical state and mental outlook. He develops a real conscience, and must fight to further his new direction. Iron Man is created as an extension of this new morality.
All in all, I highly recommend "Iron Man" as more than the stock super hero/action cliche. While is indeed fun to watch, the film really has more to say than just fx and explosions...

Great movie, diverse set, actors picked well, and no unneeded saturated drama that seems to polute a lot of the superhero movies today(ie Spiderman, the hulk, superman). Just a good fast paced story, drama elements as a garnish, and the good guy just kicks butt, no unneccesary strings attached(ie he doesn't get the girl, or his dad dies, or the public hates him). It was quite refreshing. Bravo to the producers for not relying on little untold side stories to set up a sequel.

I was never a fan of Iron Man from the Marvel comics, but this movie quickly changed my mind! The pacing was excellent, the trailers were not simply hype, and the actors (especially Robert Downey Jr.) were dead-on and excellent. I strongly recommend this movie for fans of superhero movies as well as fans of well-crafted movies in general. FANTASTIC!

This is by far the best Superhero movie to date. As fans already know Robert Downey, jr. did a fine job of bringing Tony Stark to life, with the help of Jeff Bridges, Terrence Howard and the lovely Gwyneth Paltrow. The action, effects and well written story make for an experience the whole family will enjoy.

Thank goodness we now have Iron Man to hold aloft the ailing Marvel superhero movie market. As hard as the Hulk and Spiderman franchises may be trying to keep Marvel aloft, "Iron Man" comes through to redeem the studio's past flops. This movie is a perfect model that combines a rich story, quality acting, and visual effects that are the perfect balance of movie modeling and computer effects. Robert Downey Jr. hits the ground running and re-establishes himself as a leading Hollywood actor, and Jeff Bridges is a solid villain whose story is both believable and frightening.
Go see this movie, then put your Spiderman III, X-Men III, and Hulk DVDs in the incinerator.

In all honesty I walked in to the movie not expecting much due to the amount of hype the movie had been receiving. I was pleasantly surprised. LOVED it !!!! Robert Downey Jr. is back to his old self...funny, and great to watch. Gwyneth Paltrow was perfect, such a great straight man. And Jeff Daniels, I did not recognize him at first. Fantastic. I would highly recommend the movie !!!!!!!!

THE BEST Marvel movie ever made so far, Robert Downey Jr is Tony Stark incarnate. Finally a marvel film that isn't a complete abomination. While fanboys will complain about some differences in the film and the comic, the director did a superb job of changing things to suit a more general audience and make it all the more appealing than the original.
Fun, action-packed, and EXCELLENT special effects (Ironman actually looks real instead of like Spiderman where you could tell it was totally fake CG) I'd recommend this film to all people not just marvel fans.
