I was very disappointed by this flick. I love Simon Pegg, and he did the best he could with the material provided, but all around the film just comes up short. 95% of the jokes weren't funny and the plot just plods along seemingly going nowhere to the point where you'll find yourself just begging for the movie to end. Having said that, I did laugh out loud a few times and Megan Fox was nice to look at (an understatement if ever there was one.) Wait for the DVD on this one.
This film is as funny as you've heard and then some. A very sardonic and over-the-top roasting of Hollywood filmmaking and it's excesses. Robert Downey Jr. steals the show and honestly deserves Oscar consideration for his role in this film. A must see this summer.
Another winner from Will Ferrell and director Adam McKay. It took a few minutes to get going, but once it hit it's stride, it was hilarious throughout. Definitely worth seeing if you liked Anchorman and Talladega Nights.
Everything you've heard about this movie is true and then some. The performances, the story, the pacing, the cinematography, the score, it's all top notch and deserves to be among the best films of all time. Seriously, it's that good.
While more fun to watch than the last Hulk movie, this one was still a little bit of a let down. The story this time around was better in the sense that included more action, but it felt like they sacrificed some of that story for the sake making this a more commercial film. I also felt like the special were better in the other Hulk movie.
It's Indiana Jones, so it's hard to not like it on some level. However, I think that all the time in between and the lame ending took away from what could have been a completely triumphant return. Having said that, it was a cool and fun flick with a lot of action. Definitely recommended.
Simply put, this is a great movie from start to finish. Everything worked: the cast, the story, the special and visual effects. Perhaps the greatest thing about this movie is Robert Downey Jr. who was an inspired choice to play Tony Stark/Iron Man. I'm already looking forward to Iron Man 2. A must see.
Jason Segel proves himself to be a worthy leading man and an excellent writer with "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." I wouldn't say it's as funny as some of the other Apatow comedies in recent years (40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad), but it definitely has it's winning moments and you will laugh out loud throughout. Also, if you're a fan of full frontal male nudity, you will really, really enjoy this flick.
